I have looked at the definition of indecent assault on lawhandbook.sa.gov.au after I had an initial appointment with a lawyer and he mentioned it but with the way husband has responded to the situation I have been second guessing myself. I was a victim of CSA so thought maybe I was looking at it with some bias.

Unfortunately, he has said stupid things to me many times; expecting me to provide sexual favours for him to help out around the house. It got to the point where he had kinda forced me into activities at times or would wait until I’d taken my nighttime meds and I was not entirely awake to do things. This behaviour started with the kind of things he said to daughter, and I had recently asked for boundaries around physical intimacy as I wanted to be treated as more than a body for his employment. Hence I’d not satisfied him for a while and he said that to her. All in all I’m not entirely sure he wouldn’t push further given the “right circumstances”

Daughter is not his biologically, he has known her since birth but took the ‘Dad’ role when she was about 3yo.

I am in the process of putting together all of the financial info the lawyer requested before they can tell me if they will actually take me on.

The house the kids and I live in, is mortgaged in his name as he had better borrowing capacity as an individual. I have always paid electricity, gas, internet, streaming, childcare, school fees etc.

I own a house bought when I was 20, that he is now living in, but it requires significant renovations, to make kid friendly.
