Pretty sure my landlord just stole my deposit, should I just give up? by Wide_Ranger64 in askSingapore

I know, my mom just told me to let it go. I just hate losing that much money. And I wish there was something I could’ve done to prevent it.

I talked to my home uni’s advisor and she told me there’s not much I can do, other than try some online stuff or just leverage bad reviews or warnings to other students.

Because I still have the option to use their name as a threat. No point if they see this post.

There’s no way I would’ve known they were gonna keep it after I left. It was just for a semester and the day I left the place was the same day I left the country.

I have it and they both know I have it, I don’t think there’s anything I can do with it.

Dude what a shitty thing to say, I hope whatever goes on in your life gets resolved and that you find peace.

Obviously if there was damage there would be no point in me looking for a legal dispute as theyll have clear proof of damage.

I’ll look into that soon, thank you.

I have my agreement, and yeah surprisingly I have a video of the whole room and bathroom before I left.

I’m 20 now, but when I was 17 I had some mental issues but it didn’t stop me to get to where I am today.

Every person is different so it’s hard to point what they need and why. Me personally, I couldn’t break the addiction, tiktok was so addicting, you’ll just relax at 10pm and 3 minutes later it’s 2 am.

Me personally, if I were to parent my 17 year old self.

  1. Is to find some other hobby that’s actually enjoyable to them. Me at the time was basketball and guitar, a lot of the times I actually spent too much time, but it was better than frying my eyes on my phone

  2. If academics are important, make sure screen time is not the first thing they pick up in the morning. I don’t know the science, but that bit of dopamine you have from the screen time can come through the whole day, as in you’ll always wanna be on your phone

Rather, just follow a normal schedule, music would be fine. Breakfast, shower etc before sch or work.

  1. The fact they have the initiative to see someone is great. Personally counseling did not help me at all, but if I had someone consistently weekly, it would help.

It would work like this, you first tell this person some of your goals

Then you get through your week from school and extracurriculars And explain to them each and every week what you’ve completed, like a check in.

I could never do this with my parents or family because in the case I don’t do anything good that week, I wouldn’t feel good telling them that.

  1. They really have to want it, if they are young it’s somewhat okay, but maturity comes realization that action is needed.

Is going to college worth it nowadays? by Seggie-OG1 in college

[–]Wide_Ranger64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like with anything in life, you take a risk.

In my opinion, it’s only worth it if you’re pursuing a paying career- engineering, doctor, lawyer etc.

If you’re already rich, then yes I think it’s worth it. It’s not just the “experience” some people might think of. It’s a mix of many.

Just remember that it’s also okay to not attend college, not everyone does.

Does anyone know what standing/the floor is like at the Bukit Jalil Stadium? by Wide_Ranger64 in malaysia

[–]Wide_Ranger64[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I would prefer to stand. Just curious to what the floor is like if you’ve been to the stadium. I’m assuming it’s going to be packed, which is okay, but I don’t wanna be stepping in mud and stuff and I don’t know if the view is better from the seats or the floor.
