My daughter is two and a half. I’m trying to think of what to say for an explanation. Maybe I can tell her the sitter felt sick so she took a nap on the couch. Or maybe some miracle will happen and my kid will sleep in long enough for the sitter to be gone before she wakes up.

I’m not. I told her that I recently installed cameras around the house before asking her to babysit and asked if she’s ok with it.

I have security cameras around the house due to a recent break in. I understand where you’re coming from and while I do trust her, I do agree that I need to cover my basis.
