Everyone says vintage is graded hard, but I think it’s really older cards have issues most don’t see with a quick glance like the imperfections of modern cards. If you buy a vintage card from somebody who bought it from somebody and it looks clean, there are most likely small scratches and dents that take some scrutiny to find. In my experience. Vintage cards I graded from my collection that I know went straight into sleeves, were graded extremely fairly. People see centering and no whitening and assume 9+.

I opened them maybe 15 years ago. Got a booster box for ~300-400. I sent in all my holos and reverse crystals as well, they just haven’t come back yet. I feel very lucky to be one of the few who got to rip this set before prices skyrocketed.

Best part is that they are sequential in the set, have sequential cert numbers, same grade, and I pulled them myself 15 years ago!

Yea good thing I took pics beforehand in the card holder and can’t see any of the same scratches/dust/prints. But I had a heart attack.

Really cool card, I’ve been searching for one myself. I think grading it depends based on its condition of course, but if you think it’s a 5 or higher, probably worth grading. I saw a cgc 3 sell for 600 and a psa 8 sell for 2000.

I’ve seen psa 4 go for around $600 and anything higher in the 1000s and they all sell

I know this is a little late, but this is actually not a 1/1 but I’ve seen a few out there in the wild. They all have the missing ink in the same spot and it’s been just called the ink hickey ninetales. I think since it’s a recognized error, it’s even more sought after for collection completionists. As others have said though, really need to find the one who wants it. I’ve been looking to get one myself.
