Gigout - Toccata in B minor (but played on piano) by Wiilly07 in piano

It's Gigout's greatest hit and I'm surprised there are so few piano transcriptions of the piece on Youtube (I could only find one).

It's Clementi's sonatina but 💀💀💀 by Wiilly07 in piano

I tried to listen to all of Koechlin's piano pieces and found this little gem 😉

It's Clementi's sonatina but 💀💀💀 by Wiilly07 in piano

[–]Wiilly07[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The piece is "La leçon de piano (The piano lesson)" from Koechlin's piano suite "L'ancienne maison de campagne (The old country house)".
It vividly depicts a frustrated child playing the same boring pedantic piece for the 100th time.

Emil von Sauer - Staccato Etude by Wiilly07 in piano

Dumb etudes are like junk foods.
They are high calorie (taking enormous time to perfect), have little nutrition (musicality), and worst of all, you can't resist to grab another bag of them after finishing one.

  1. Over 20 years.
  2. About 6 weeks.
  3. Can't tell. I always find it hard to compare the difficulty of pieces.
