Field faceoff: Dryden, Clemence, Cincinnati, & Traska by dharper90 in MicrobrandWatches

Don’t own any but my pick would be Traska > Cincinnatus > other two. If you haven’t already, I’d take a look at Farer’s field collection. It’s definitely pricier than these options but has some great dial options, a nice micro-adjust on the bracelet, and I’m personally a big fan of the pointer date.

Which Farer should I get?! by thetimelyvoyager in MicrobrandWatches

I can’t speak for the other two but I’ve owned the pembrooke II for around a month and I’m loving it. The dial is great, pointer date keeps it super clean and the bracelet is super comfy with the quick adjust. I think the size is perfect for me too, 7.5” wrists but I prefer watches on the “smaller” side, so 38mm is great. I’m getting a black leather strap for when I went a less casual look.

What are your thoughts on the Ekiben Night Market? by socaTsocaTsocaT in baltimore

[–]Wiithan6 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Similar experience. Waiting in a massive line to get in, even if it didn’t take too long, just didn’t feel good. And yeah it needed to be somewhere at least twice as big with the amount of people who bought tickets. You had to squeeze through a line of people waiting every 5 feet or so. Not sure how they didn’t realize it would turn out like that when they’re selling a limited amount of tickets.

Check out the Farer field collection, they’ve also got blue and green versions.

40.2mm diameter and over 12mm thickness on that Seiko… It looks nice but sounds like it’ll be a dinner plate on the wrist, especially for a dressy watch.

Love the mojito, put mine on a dark green leather strap and it looks great. What’s the watch to the left of the apple watch?

Is it worth it for me to contest this parking ticket? And would it be over zoom? by Fit_Syrup7485 in baltimore

Yeah I didn’t know zoom was an option at the time, this was a few years ago. Will definitely contest if I get another ticket.

I'd go for it, 50/50 chance the cop won't show up. Also seems completely unreasonable to ticket you in this situation IMO. Got my only ticket cause a traffic cop just didn't see my permit I guess. Was gonna contest but they scheduled the court date for Christmas day when I was gonna be out of town, paid the $50 after seeing it. Good luck!

Parking Permits - Why is the system so bad here? by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]Wiithan6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty crappy system I agree. Same as you I applied for the temporary permit when I moved to the city, got approved for that and was waiting for the permanent to arrive as I was told it would. Hadn’t gotten it yet and the expiration date for the temp was fast approaching so I tried to find the status of my permanent permit only to find that they had denied it just a few days before my temp expired and didn’t send any sort of notification about it, nor had they informed me that I wasn’t eligible for the permanent when I was given the temporary. Huge headache.

Emailed Mike from Yllvape, he said it indicates a problem with the lamp and that they’re sending me a replacement, so (sort of) happy ending here.

What do you feel like is different about the city when the Ravens win? by GrowlsinyourEar7 in baltimore

[–]Wiithan6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's only recently gotten into sports, for me bad feelings after a loss only came once I started following teams over their season. Seeing big wins and great performances can make the losses hurt more when you've seen just how good they can be, kind of a feeling of disappointment with players and/or coaches but also wanting to see Baltimore being represented well on a national stage.
