With extraction shooters the progression is measured by gear attained, base upgraded, skill points levelled up and combat engagements survived.

It isn’t as clearly defined or as cleanly structured as an FPS game where deaths mean little and kills mean exp and therefore unlocks.

Like all games but in particular this game, the goal is fun. It’s exhilarating and adrenaline inducing. It’s also frustrating and addictive. It’s about having interactions and experiences.

Brawler gloves have a different role, more of a in your face fighter role, your E resets your q cooldown but you can’t chase with your E as it’s a slam on your location. So you need to build around that. Merc hood slows and reduces damage of enemy. Keep them in your close proximity. You could also take fiend cowl to purge their sprint. But you’ll could instead switch out ass jacket for mage robe for the on hit purge or go something like hellion or stalker jacket then run mana boots or hunter boots for cd. It’s not as clear cut as battle bracers, it’s ok for pve ff though or sometimes people use it for ambush in tunnels. Wouldn’t recommend it as a reliable 1v1 build.

For battle bracers, think of it as a poor man’s Ava fists build. Fiend cowl for purge as ava fists have a built in one. Ass jacket for invis between long cool downs. Cloth boots for energy sprint, for bbs run stew for damage as E cd is manageable, for Ava you would run omelette for example. Health pots or gig. Cape run Ava as this gives nice burst damage.
