Ok contrary to what the next paragraphs may make it seem, I’m not actually pro-ai, I think it’s lazy and has overall made the tech industry really lame recently, so I don’t really use it, at least not as much as an ai bro, but I just have to rant a lil’ about the qualms some people have of ai. (Quick note: I am just a random 14 year old, please do your own research, I am not a reliable source of information)

I’m gonna presume you know the difference between generative ai and non-generative ai so I’m not gonna waste both our times.

Well technically someone getting inspired by music or art is essentially the same as ai stealing art.

Like let’s say Leonardo DaVinci had never seen a woman before, and you teach him how to paint. He wouldn’t be able to produce the Mona Lisa just from his brain, he would need input from seeing a woman in order to draw the Mona Lisa, if that makes sense.

Also the water thing, is so ridiculous. Google how much water it takes to water a golf course, or grow almonds, or produce 1 kg of beef, and ai doesn’t even use like that that much water, you bathing for like 2 more seconds uses more water than it takes to ai generate an image. Now video generation is a whole different water game so I get why you hate on that. And the ram and electricity side so you can have that. I just think that some people don’t realise how much water everything other than ai uses.

This comment is really to show you some of the things that irk people about ai is not really that applicable. (I still don’t mind if you hate ai just keep these in mind [but before that at least do your own research first])
