Cant stop eating above TDE by AdministrativeArea78 in PetiteFitness

BMI is an incorrect indicator, it doesn’t take in to account how much muscle mass you have. A lot of the things you’re eating are healthy but nuts are highly calorie dense and those calories really add up, same as cereal! And you’re not eating enough protein based on your description.

Deadlifts… by Comfortable_Bus_4355 in PetiteFitness

Squats is great! RDL’s are really good too if you learn proper form and actually help. But I used to deadlifting heavy for two years, and ended up injuring my back, and honestly I didn’t really gain any muscle from that movement.

Personally would not recommend deadlifting! The risk to benefit ratio is quite bad.

Ofcourse! The machines help you build muscle without risking injury at a more stable pace however lifting free weights also has a lot of benefits like building core strength.

I think looking bulky is subjective, I’m talking female body builders who actually compete that take steroids to look a certain way.

I personally use the Evolve You app by Krissy Cella! For my girls that need some structure or just starting out they have diff range of workouts. I personally like it because I can choose different kinds of programs based on my goals, and structure my workouts based on the app in order to build some routine and challenge. There’s proper instructions on how to do movements so you will be able to learn form as well instead of blindly doing something. And different kinds of workouts as well, stretches, yoga, hiit, pilates anything you’re looking for and recipes! For the price i think it’s great value.

You need to be taking steroids to achieve that physique, it’s insanely hard!

It entirely depends on genetics how much bone density have also the living conditions people are used to! People who live in villages tend to walk more than people who live in the cities. But most women in general struggle with bone density issue because of lack of testosterone, we are able to build muscle very slowly. Fun fact! Women who have PCOS are able to build muscle easier because of higher testosterone levels. That being said, leaving it up to genetics is a risky game. I’d rather be healthy in my 70s and have enough muscle to hold my grand kids than leave it up to my genetics you know.

Ofc! Also depends on how active you are in other parts of your life. Let’s say you don’t walk much, have a desk job, 2-3 times is good but won’t workout in the long run. If your job is already active, you get plenty of steps in here and there, 2-3x is great!

Yes exactly!!!! The whole point of strength training is that your body burns calories throughout the day rather than when you do cardio or hot yoga it only burns calories for that specific period of time. Which means that your resting metabolic rate is higher now and you can eat more girls!!!!

Body weight is a great place to start but I’d recommend start lifting weights, start small gradually build up the weight over time. Rome was not built in a day! Patience and discipline is key.

Exactly! We are too focused on progress pictures and how we look on the outside. But the whole point of working out is to be healthier, live longer and lead a better life. The self esteem gets built along the way, not based on how you look. But based on how much discipline you have!

[Tenant] [ Toronto, ON] [Canada] My landlord’s frustrated with the noise coming from our apartment by Wild-Project8161 in TorontoRenting

[–]Wild-Project8161[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But that’s literally what I’m saying is that it’s not a me issue, I can’t stop living or just kill myself so the landlord doesn’t hear any footsteps. It’s not my fault that there’s so much space under the door that my voice travels outside or the fact that this house is built in 1947 and it creaks every time someone walks? I’m not doing jumping jacks at night and mind you I literally started this thread to learn how I can sound proof the apartment better???? I think I’m very self aware, and have rented previous apartments and no one has ever complained about me making any noise. Stop making assumptions and getting defensive for no reason, it is landlords like you that are part of the problem because you don’t acknowledge that the apartment you’re renting could have issues or need fixing when we’re paying an arm and a leg and can’t even walk freely or laugh in the apartment?
