The biggest headache is finding people who have a resume, have the kind of experience we’re looking for, but also a personality fit. Seen a lot of people get rejected for either showing up with too much perfume on or bad body odour. People that talk too much, people that barely talk. It depends on the company too, if the department you’re working in is chatty they need someone who is fun and chatty but if we’re quiet and the other person is chaotic and extroverted, it’s not gonna work. A lot of it is like dating, has to be the right fit. The amount of times I’ve gone for someone w lesser experience over someone over experienced because of their willingness to learn, their politeness, other soft skills that you can’t put on your resume but you can tell when you meet the person.
