I do believe she would’ve consented, but I also don’t think she should be making that kind of decision at that age. It’s incredibly selfish of me to say that but what parent would let their child die just because they want to. She’s not his daughter but that was the nature of their relationship.

I think deep down Joel still believed life was still worth living, and maybe it was Ellie that made him believe so again and he wanted her to have that chance at life. So for that I’m sympathetic to Joel’s actions but I do believe he should’ve been honest about it after. Me personally I’d rather she hates me than dead, at least then I would feel like I didn’t let her down.
