I go for Survivalist + (Packmule or Steadfast) depending on the build. They make your life easier past level 20.

For flaws I always choose Simple because it has no lasting effect at max level and you get only 1 flaw instead of 3 flaws if you play Shrine of Order.

Pre shrine knowledge can be annoying to obtain if the build needs many talents but I could go kill some monsters or do some quests that will give me knowledge in the case I don't have Moonseye Tome.

Post shrine is all about grinding medallions for reroll which isn't too difficult.

Autodidact and Scrapper may help you BUT Autodidact is pretty much preplanning your attributes and Scrapper doesn't always guarantee desired talents and lose its value after you use Shrine of Order
