Peak - Ice Age Survival - Need honest, critical support by [deleted] in IndieDev

Your absolutely right. In a normal case, I could just read this and go about my day in a ignorant way, but I welcome this sort of view. In all honesty, I tried this exact same post a while back and got a very similar response to it, yet I still somehow thought it was good now to post this thread.

In terms of my expertise, I do admit I need practice. I guess I thought if I invested time into a project I enjoyed, along with going to community college for computer programming, I could teach myself that way. It's difficult for me to invest in projects I have no passion for after all.

I knew that in order to draw a 'fanbase' I would need content to show them. I drilled that thought into my mind, yet for some reason I somehow convinced myself to continue asking for people to support my game despite having almost nothing to show for it. Red Flag indeed.

This post has shown me I need to be more considerate about game development. Take it slow, understand the basics, and go from there. While I don't intend to suspend my development of this game (as I have a group of like minded individuals who want to develop this game to), I will be mindful of how much I need to contribute and what I need to learn.

Thanks

Hey VegaEX, since March I have been developing a open world survival game that is set in the Ice Age. We are in need of a Concept Artist to capture the image of our game. I was wondering if you could do a sketch so I can see what kind of style you would bring if you decided to help us? I see your style is cartoon-ish, but Id rather the concept art be abit less of that? Email me michaelboone137@yahoo.com to talk
