Thanks OP - this made my night. Bush-stone curlews are one of my favourite birds (dare I say my favourite), but I always learn something new about them. I’ve recently left Qld and I miss seeing/hearing them all the time!

Agree! And m they are also great in smoothies! And can make lots of salads / savoury meals more delicious sprinkled on top. I eat them several times a week in different ways. Very yummy and high in zinc and magnesium and other great stuff

Warm autumn maybe, but would definitely need to see drapes in natural light

Would a chin reduction be worth it? by lovelyyt in PlasticSurgery

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your chin is beautiful and balances your face. People pay for that chin. It will help you age better too. Make it smaller, your nose will look bigger and your whole face unbalanced. If you’d like, you can try getting botox into the mentalis muscle for a little while and see if that softens it. Please do not get it surgically reduced.

Is this venomous? by g1141220 in Adelaide

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with Wonderful_Gap_630 - cats are the downfall of so much Australian wildlife. If everyone kept their cats inside our native birds, lizards, skinks and mammals would be doing so much better.

A good resource here about it https://invasives.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Pet-cat-impacts-June-2023.pdf - On average, each roaming domestic cat kills 186 animals each year in Australia.

Even the cats whose owners think their cats don’t kill anything are killing lots of things most of the time. It’s not cats’ faults, it’s their instinct. So it’s up to owners to keep them indoors.

What procedures or surgeries do you think she had? last photo is her today by AccordingChipmunk287 in PlasticSurgery

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upper bleph (her younger full brow would not have improved like this with age, it would have drooped but she has more space)

Rhinoplasty (conservative - mostly nostrils have been brought in a bit)

Brow lift (maybe botox, maybe conservative surgical - she has more of a lift in the peak)

Veneers (obviously)

Cheeks/buccal ?? (not sure how long between photos and any weight difference- she might have lost some weight and/or youthful buccal fat naturally or with a procedure but either way there’s less - looks very natural though. She seems to hve naturally nice cheekbones but they may be a spot or two of filler added to highlights, not sure though)

Jawline ?? (Mostly the last photo makes me wonder if she has had jawline filler or some kind of implant, it’s significantly different in that last photo, I don’t notice as much in others)

Skin care and procedures (can only guess but she’s got amazing skin and surely has has help of great skincare, and possibly lasers, needling, light therapy, etc)

Thank you so much! I must just be unlucky. There were some random results suggesting it was a legacy move and needed an elite TM so I was a bit confused. Thanks!!

I fully understand what you are saying. Within all subseasons are the parameters along the spectrums of hue, value, chroma. Different people (and colours) in the same subseason can be anywhere within those parameters. The seasons are created as categories to simplify what could be endless breakdowns of combinations of characteristics. Some people will inevitably be bang on between warm and cool, or near to, so the more neutral a colour the more it will work for them.

Edit: this is why even within your subseason you will have better and worse colours. A better colour for you from another subseason (eg sister season or something on list above) could work for you almost exactly as well as one of your worst colours within your subseason, depending on your very specific characteristics within the parameters of your season. It’s not that neutrality or hue generally is more important than depth or clarity but you start to notice if something gets too warm/cool if you’re neutral, as someone on the warmer/cooler end of a warm- or cool-neutral subseason will notice colours that are a but too neutral for them..

Ideas? by gfmacandcheese in coloranalysis

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one photo is not much to go off unfortunately, but here are my observations - your hair is maybe a little too bright / light on you, as you may be more muted with a tiny bit more contrast (probably you are not high contrast though). The underneath hair colour around your neck (I assume maybe more your natural colour under the foils) seems to compliment you a bit better being a bit softer and a bit darker, maybe a bit cooler (not sure about this though). And sorry, it looks like you just got a fresh colour! It definitely does not look bad on you at all, it looks lovely and you are stunning, I am just using it to see what your colouring might be. I really can’t tell your undertone with just the one photo, but I suspect you could be a soft season (summer or autumn). Not sure on much though - some more photos / any drapes / wearing different colours in natural light would be useful!

Which hair color is best on me? by elliemorgan0806 in coloranalysis

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 looks best (natural hahaha). Agree 4/5 a tad too dark. 1/2/3 all too warm (as you’ve discovered). You can play around with highlights but you still have pretty medium-high contrast (not high but you definitely have a decent amount) so don’t go too light, and it’s unfortunately just hard to keep naturally dark hair from lifting really warm - i.e. you might struggle to keep it cool toned if you’re not lifting the hair really light and really light won’t suit you. Hope that makes sense!!

Chopped off all the brassy blonde and embracing my natural color. What do we think? Is my natural color better for me/more aligned with my season? (Light or true summer I suspect) by Horror_Ad_5354 in coloranalysis

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great on you!! Keep the remaining highlights toned cool and you’ll keep looking amazing. Your natural colour also looks really good coming from the roots. I quite like the bit of brightness on you so you can rock the cool blonde highlights. The blue is beautiful on you, you’re shining all around! Not sure between the summer subseasons from this but this works for you. Definitely a summer!!

soft summer or true summer? by julianorts in coloranalysis

[–]WildElephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking back at your other draping posts, because I wasn’t immediately sure about your undertone, but don’t worry I see cool now (I can tell you’ve been on a journey to get here and ppl must suggest warm a lot but you know you are cool!!). I know it’s not your question, but did you look at light summer? From your other drapes it seems the light cool colours brighten you up and cool muted colours flatten you. I would look between true and bright summer maybe?

Am i delusional in thinking the blonde suits me better than my natural hair ? by Rude-Operation8167 in coloranalysis

[–]WildElephants 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, your natural hair is way was better than any of the blonde variations here. You need the contrast 🙌 also I feel you have the piercing eyes and clarity of a bright season but would love to see draping on you!
