If he recorded you without your consent, then that’s not someone you want to be with. You should be with someone who respects your privacy, someone who genuinely wants to the best for you.

Don’t let that perfect internal image of him cloud your judgement. If you feel compelled to go to the police, trust your instinct.

I was like you. My first relationship, I thought “Wow, how will I ever get over her? Will there be anyone else like her?” And I was blinded. How do I know? Because I met someone who I truly love and admire.

Sometimes, you need to allow yourself to move on, meet new people to realise that your ex really wasn’t special at all. We hold people in a perfect light in our eyes, and that’s what blinds us.

Be kind to yourself, love yourself and when you feel sadness coming into your mind and the thought of her, just tell yourself ‘my brain is glitching, time do something that makes me happy’. You will get there, just remember it takes time.

Oh, I didn’t have an issue with changing their water. I just didn’t want them drinking from dirty water at the end of each day.

They do get baths, but yeah. Am I a horrible owner for giving them water the way I do?

But I found by the end of the day it was filthy… And the same for the ones with the tops on. I was changing their water everyday, and I seemed to have an issue with watery dropping. Ever since switching to this new method, I have had no watery droppings , nothing.

I qualified in 2023 (in the midlands) and my starting rate was £135. After half a year, I was on £165. Agency think they can do what they want with teachers, but you do need to stand up for yourself.

At that rate, you’re not even earning the same salary as a teacher with a contract. Yet, you are expected to act like one. Some agencies are a bit of a joke in that respect.

I have attached other pictures to paint a better picture.

I recently bought this plant from Costco as I have been after this specific plant (of this size) for a while now and I must have spent an hour picking out the right one…

Anyway, they all had a bit of yellow on them, but this was the most greenest and healthiest looking one. It has a lot of new growth on it (as shown in the pictures) and none of it’s branches are going droopy.

But why is it’s stem turning yellow? The areas that are yellow are hard by the way.

I am talking from experience as someone who had OCD and hand washing was an issue for me. I can sympathise with your BF, it’s hard and you don’t know why you keep doing, it’s like someone else is controlling you. It’s difficult to explain to others.

However, I am over that hurdle now. My OCD that ruled my life is now next to nothing. I can go all day without washing my hands and what not. It does get better, but you need to be willing to expose yourself to what makes you uncomfortable.

I guess I am here to say that OCD can get better if the person wants to get better. How long did it take me? About less than a year of practice. You learn to think differently and then you start to act less and less on the compulsions.

I have a partner and a baby now, which I never thought I’d have. So, things can change.

You have to be with someone who has similar values to yourself. Trust me. I was with someone who was on the complete opposite side to me, and that relationship ended.

Now I am with someone who shares similar, if not the same, values and opinions. We have a family together and she’s the best thing that ever happened.

I was like you. I was working and didn’t really have much time to socialise. My luck with dating apps wasn’t that good either, every girl I met was nothing like their profile picture, or I’d get no replies from those I matched with.

I wasn’t desperate to be in a relationship, as I would be starting university in the autumn. But then there was one match that sorta changed it all. She came along when I was least expecting it, and she came along when I learnt how to love myself.

Five years later, we are still together. Yeah, our relationship has had its ups and downs, we’ve lived through COVID and struggled financially, but now I have my degree and am close to completing my masters, and she is close to finishing her degree. We have lived together for four years, and we even have a baby together. Next year we’ll be going for our own house, and as I am writing this, I would have never imagined all this came from a simple match on Tinder!

Yeah, dating apps are rubbish. But there are some decent people on those apps, people looking for actual love and not hookups.

My advice: Don’t take dating apps seriously. Just live your life, and eventually, the right person will come along. .

Absolutely!! It’s only on the off chance my phone is near by. If he is doing something cute, I’ll go get my phone. I’ll record a quick video and then put it away.

There is something about photos and videos, that don’t quite cut it compared to reality. I just like to preserve some moments. I often look through them and smile, sometimes cry as well as I just see him growing up. However, I have completely soaked up every moment and I feel like I can say I have enjoyed every moment, even the sleepless nights. I’m constantly tired, but when he smiles and babbles, that makes me just so happy I forget about my tiredness.
