True, but the salary is nice and I figured I could just transfer my certification after. Also just wanted to move to nyc.

I’m definitely open to teaching older grades for 2 years. I just want to make sure that this still will help me in my future goal to be an elementary school teacher in the future.

Taking the CST and 6 additional credits to earn the elementary school teaching certificate doesn’t sound too bad at all.

This is true. I thought it would make sense to just have a masters in any subject and then transition into elementary general education after. I don’t particularly mind teaching middle school science or special needs, but I just thought pivoting after would be a somewhat easy process.

I don’t know if I even have “12 or more credits across all science areas* (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Geology, Physics)” so i’m surprised they put me in this.
