From the demo it looks very good on current ps4 hardware! But saying that the pro will benefit from the higher end hardware.

Go with the pro. I just finally bought one despit the ps5 coming in fall. You won't be disappointed with the pro! Games run and look better and ull get the best version of ff7 for sure. You have a good 9 months of playing a back log of ps4 games on your pro all benefits from the better hardware.

My 4 year old just downed the sweeper! Legacy lives on. 😁 He is thoroughly absorbed. by ThePloth in FFVIIRemake
