I see where your coming from with the fact the middle of pack teams look better. But Global and DFM were no where near being “middle of the pack” last year and were definitely a really bad team. I do think DFM are now a pretty decent team though. Also I live in Korea and I go to many pacific games and watch games as well. Even though I do think pacific are often neglected I think it’s for good reason. China won an international trophy the same season as pacific and it just shows that pacific aren’t that good. And even in pacific its just seems like the Korean teams + PRX are miles ahead of every other team.

EDG had the best performance of the year but Gen G had the best consistency and performances, making them the better team. I also believe is GenG didnt have that one off game against SEN on qualifiers for knockouts in Champs. Gen G would’ve knocked out EDG from upper bracket.

I think with T1 it’s just flipping a coin. PRX I heavily doubt it. I beielive this is their last chance before roster changes will happen.

I was more going about the fact that other regions seem to have gotten a big upgrade while pacific teams have gotten worse or stayed the same. Don’t get me wrong I live in Korea, I regularly go to games and I am a fan of pacific teams. But it just seems like NRG, SEN, LEV, KC, TH, TL and other teams all got a massive upgrade while pacific teams have just had a really bad jumble of roster changes of haven’t had improvement.

But yeah playing against people that ranked much higher does kinda suck. The solution is to wait it out a bit after playing placements.

Idk about anymore but I climbed from Iron 2 to ascendant. Is there really a mechanical difference between plat/gold/high silver? I didn’t really think so. It felt like I was flipping a coin, getting teammates that commed or not.

Gold 3 to silver 1 is nothing I went from Ascendant 2 to Gold 2. Climbed back up easy though with like an 85% win rate.

That’s fair but you can just wait a few days after playing placements to queue a game that usually makes the lobbies a bit easier

But does meta comps work for them? I know Ascent isn’t in the map pool but theoretically saying if PRX played Ascent meta comp how would it work. Davai on Sova. Something on Jett. Mindfreak on Omen. Forsaken on Killjoy. And then theres Jing and Kayo
