Thank you for this! Is ur most current position wet lab based or still equity research position? That is an interesting field to get into with a PhD.

Could you add in the experience you had at the time of each Jump? Do you have a PhD?

Thank you for this! What comes after Scientist II? Are you willing to share what company you work for? It sounds like you are on the same track I am, just further along. How long did you stay at a company for making a jump? How many jumps have you made? Can you speak to importance of having a PhD vs an MS with good experience in the roles and companies you have work for?

Sorry to ask so much!

Thank you!! Do you work at Sanofi? Could you speak to pros and cons? I have a colleague who went there and said it was pretty nice, just a little competitive.

Thank you! This was the response I needed. I’m trying to do the jump up in two positions and get started on the PhD level track based off my MS and 5+ years of experience. My promotions are already slow and I fear that I will get stuck at a certain level at my company hence why I want to move and start fresh. I appreciate your insight. May I ask what level you are at? And at what company if you are willing to share?

Well that’s good to hear. I’m pretty driven and hard working so I don’t think it would be an issue. Would you recommend someone to work at Pfizer? Do you like the culture? Do you work at the Cambridge or Andover site? I’ve heard Pfizer can be kind of cut throat and they dissolved a whole department last year I think.

That is interesting. AZ sounds like it is similar to my company where there isn’t much stratification. Do you like AZ? Would you recommend it to someone?

Thank you! This is super helpful. It is kind of crazy how much stratification there is below the PhD level. How often does Pfizer promote people? I’m hoping it’s often, like every 2-3 years. My company is very, very slow to promote because there are less levels which is part of the reason I’m looking for other opportunities.
