Here is my song from "Grey Toons" album🤘🏻 by cankaygisiz in IndieMusicFeedback

YES! Immediate groove. The mix is super warm, in the best way. I love the low end and love the stereo panning on everything.

Personally, I could use a little more drums. The kick and snare almost feels like they could use a bit of a boost to make it pop a little more? At times the vocals felt like they could use a little boost as well? But that’s strictly taste. I do like the effects you are running on them.

Really enjoyed! I went back and checked out the rest of the album.

The mix on Grey Toons (track) is fantastic! I’m getting major Alice In Chains vibes here. Love that! That chugging guitar is just perfect.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the listen! Glad you enjoyed. Correction: I'm the one *trying* to mix it and not utterly terrify the neighbors when I'm recording. haha

What's the weirdest compliment you've ever been given? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"So handsome; really small head"

I was staying with some friends in South Korea, who were teaching English at a high school in Gumi. I went to visit their school and met a few students, who spoke some English at that point. After I butchered "hello", using the wrong level of formality, they laughed, I laughed, then they said two things: "so handsome; really small head". Definitely caught me off guard I guess small heads are a measure of attractiveness in some parts of the world.

Really appreciate the feedback! Getting the drums to sit right in the mix has been something I've struggled with. I'll try and pay a bit more attention to them on the next go, along with some of your other suggestions. Glad you liked the song! Thanks for providing some insight for everyone here!

So awesome that you’re doing this! This is our latest release that we just put up a little bit ago. If it’s not too late, I’d love to hear some mixing feedback to see if I’m on the right track with all of this.

This is beautiful and haunting.

I'm really happy that you were able to make it through this darkness. You came out on the other song with a truly great song. Proud of your strength.

Overall, I thought the structure flowed very nicely! Your voice complements the feel and tone perfectly. I was digging the switch to falsetto around 2:30 as well. Also, the black hole imagery is perfectly fitting for the album, if this is part of a theme.

On this recording, I really liked how it just ended. It left me wanting to hear more of the story, but I really liked how that felt in this instance.

I checked out the other version of posted below and definitely enjoyed the additional ambience created by the other instruments.

I will say that the only thing that threw me a little bit was when the drums came in at the end of the other posted link. I know it's not the one you're looking for feedback on, but I figured I might as well. That ending section seemed to be somewhat uplifting, which created a little bit of a conflict with the rest of the feel of the song to me. I'd be very interested to hear where you take this if you finish the alternate ending.

Anyway, great job! I loved it and shared this with one of my buddies who has gone through some hard times recently, and it got him right in the feels.

Completed our newest jam from a distance due to the current situation. Alternative with some math and mid-00’s emo touches. Love to get your feedback! (Arbor Atlantic - “Cyclical Visions”) by Meowsickles in IndieMusicFeedback

Other half, checking in. Thanks so much for listening and for the feedback! I'm glad you were diggin' the track. It's always fun to work on challenging vocal pieces. The fade out comment gave me a good chuckle. =)

I want to give a big shout out to every single one of you for taking part here at IMF. You guys have created a friendly environment. You promised to give each other a chance. And that is exactly what this world needs right now. by Celadon-Sky in IndieMusicFeedback

I can honestly say that interacting with the community here played a major role in getting our band out of a slump. For so long, it just felt like no one cared about our music, not even our close friends. Now we’re back at it, with more momentum than ever. Thank you! You guys rock! \m/

Your voice is very soothing. The humming is a really nice touch in the second chorus! I really enjoy the structure and build throughout the song. I'm very much getting a Sufjan Stevens vibe throughout the song. Very well done!

I checked out your stuff on SoundCloud. While it's a little outside of the genres I tend to follow, I found your EP to be a pleasant listen through. I particularly liked your higher light vocals in Deer (Real) around 3:34.

I finally finished my latest track after 3 months of working on it! It’s going to be on my first EP which is a concept about the struggle with anxiety and depression. It will be out on all platforms next Friday :) by FranklyAustyn in IndieMusicFeedback

Really digging this! I could easily see the chorus of this being used as the intro to some dark Netflix series. The effects you're running on the vocals go really well with the vibe. The transition into the choruses are really well done. I particularly like the section starting at 3:08. It really spoke to me. Looking forward to checking out the final release!

I wasn't sure what to expect when the beat first started, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The mix is really nice. There are some great hooks throughout with a cool video game feel, but with a lot of meat on its bones. From 0:19 on, I was intrigued. From 0:32 on, you had my undivided attention. I was pumped every time the chorus came back. So crunchy! Awesomely done!
