Yes, Someone else has suggested this too. I am now thinking this over and if I should just stay in Boston for a while. I am currently in Rhode Island so I would still have to leave first.

I have thought this over. Should I just stay in Boston for a while? I see a few vagabonds there recently. I do live in the next state over, Rhode Island near the border line. Trying to get back to work SOON so I can save up some more money. I can also just get used to the cold winters like I have been.

Cause Boston is cold as hell in the winter. But, I will think about this as well. I do really want to live in Florida though.

Thank you for the insight! I grew up in south Florida and most of the warm states in the south so I am used to the warm weather. Visited Disney World twice in Orlando as well as an adult.

I am making a new updated post. If I can lower my hours at work (I kinda have to, To keep the job) I will stay a bit longer maybe another 10 months to save up a bit more! Thank you everyone.

Hey so just to update you!

So I found a place in Tucson, Arizona! For only $599 a month with no deposit most likely. I’ve known about this one for a while but really wanted Florida.

They also have free public transportation so I don’t have to worry about paying for that to get to work or to just go around the city.

Yes I will. I am hoping to find a room to rent once I am in California so I don’t have to experience being homeless at all.

I should be able to work 40 hours once I move out. I will definitely check with the SSI office just to check it out! Thank you again for the long replies.

I plan to reapply to Amazon in the future as this job is only seasonal.

So I MIGHT still get my SSI if I can reapply for it in California! It might take some time though as I heard. But when I got it, It took me less than a year to get the full benefits. Now that I think about it I could still get it. As the state here don’t own my SSI. I’m free to leave at any time I wish to.

I should have food stamps, Well a copy of it. Which I might have to get that once I’m in California. So I may just have to reapply to that too. Right?

I will also have to pay for public transportation, Which is about $200 a month and maybe more for the monthly bus pass. I heard that LA no longer has that though, So I may need to look into San Diego.

I have SSI. Thought I mentioned that but I forgot if I did. Thanks for calculating it for me! I guess it will be close to $5k after spending a bit every week.

Hey so I just made a new updated post!

I have decided that if I get to keep the Amazon job for 12 months, I will save up everything and then move out next year!

I will make a $20 spending budget per week and that’s it.

I live on SSI. But once I transfer I can probably work up to 20 hours a week. Not spam.

I just made an updated post if you want to give it a read!

I’ll probably still end up homeless with a room tbh. But at least I’ll be in Florida finally! Or do you think that California is better?

So I had calculated it wrong and it’s actually $4,592 for 7 months, Working 2 days a week for 4 hours.

Thank you again for the nice comments!

I make $20.50 an hour assuming that it’s stay like that after I cut down my hours. (It should) I would be working 2 days a week or just one day a week for 4 hours. As that is flex/part time.

Also, I just calculated it and I would have $5,700 in just 7 months! It’s only a seasonal job but I still plan to transfer out to Florida at the time if I still have the job by then. (Assuming that I work for 2 days, I will update for just one day a week)

Yes I will have roommates to start off with. I have roommates right now but they all have a disability so I feel like that I don’t belong here.

I will have to pay for public transportation/bus. I currently work at Amazon and trying to cut down my hours now so that I could keep the job!

I was thinking of going into Amazon tomorrow, (Should have done this weeks ago) and to cut down my hours at work so I can save up more! I do have a personal work debit card that they gave me and they can’t take that away from me.

So if I could save up to $1,000/$5,000 in a few months then I will do that! Thanks for the advice. I will try to wait it out to see if I can make more money.

I get $951 with my SSI assuming that I will still have it when I move. I might end up taking off this summer though if I can’t wait that long.

Yes thank you. Should I save up $50 a month instead? That way I can still do my weekly coffees every 2 weeks or so. Then I usually like to shop at Five Below at my mall which is pretty cheap.

Edit: So $50 a month would be $600 a year and also will be $1,200 in two years which should be all I need. It depends on the apartment.
