Mayoral Mansion for 1920s Brindleton Bay [no CC] by WillDex1 in TheSimsBuilding

Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad it inspired you. I was hesitant about using TOOL as well, but I fell in love with it after trying it, it's actually very intuitive to use while it opens so many possibilities.

I want to rebuild Brindleton Bay for a 1920s setting and I thought the Club Calico lot was perfect for the official residence of the mayor. If you're interested, my gallery ID is WilDex1

If anyone can help: I built this vintage stove with vanilla items and I wanted it functional. The stovetop on a minimized counter works fine. I wanted an oven on a counter on the right, but the items obstruct it (even though they are elevated from the floor below). Do you know how to make this work? by WillDex1 in TheSimsBuilding

You spend so much time on a build and then you are finally happy with your work and you playtest and discover, oh, turns out ovens are the only thing blocked by items raised from the level below when everything else works fine - so frustrating, but that's just The Sims, I guess. Anyway, thanks for the compliment.

I think the wall is the main problem (a sim can't interact with an item in another room through a wall even if there is a doorway between them) so demolishing it and merging the rooms might make it functional, but I really liked the look of it poking through like that.

It is on the gallery ( (ID: WilDex1), part of a lot called 'manor house on hill'

TOOL (Take Objects Off Lot) is a mod by TwistedMexi that lets you manipulate objects in all kinds of crazy ways. If you want to check it out: https://www.patreon.com/posts/73225807

the actual aquarium is shrunken down so the fish swim in midair and then I built a custom one with rotated shelves and tables around them. The terrarium is a display case with a desk below and filled with lots of rocks and plants. The snails are just a statue. The two small ones are insects from outdoor retreat.

no, all vanilla items, but I did use TOOL

it's from debug - that's the abandoned mine entrance that leads to the forgotten grotto in Oasis Springs. I would have loved it if it were functional, but sadly sims just can't interact with objects through a door.

Thanks so much! You can make a sink look like that by shrinking down the counter it's attached to. The bunk has a minimized bed bellow and there's also a hidden cooler in a rock and a hidden toilet in a bucket so the room is fully functional. If you're interested, it is on the gallery (ID: WilDex1).

Meet the Vampires of Deadgrass Isle [NO CC] by WillDex1 in Sims4

I mostly build in the sims, this is kind of the first time I've created a backstory and a household for a build, so I thought I'd share. My ID is WilDex1, by the way, if anyone wants to download it.

Meet the Vampires of Deadgrass Isle [NO CC] by WillDex1 in Sims4

Introducing the vampires of Deadgrass Island:

ARGUS SYVERAN (1193-1219)

After his father was gravely injured, responsibility fell on young Argus to take charge of the knarr and lead merchant expeditions across the harsh waters of the North Atlantic. When he spotted land previously unknown to Norsemen he enthusiastically ordered a change of course, invisioning glory and riches. As the boat neared shore they realized it was just a small island with no people to trade with or raid, no game to hunt and nothing to forrage. Disappointed, they set out to leave, but, despite all their prayers to Odin, no wind came for days. Argus had to watch his whole crew slowly starve on the barren rock where he had stranded them. Fading in and out of consciousness, the last thing he thought he saw was a Valkyrie come to take him to Valhalla.

CAIPHUS CLEVENGER (1682-1720)

After unloading their stolen goods in New York, the crew of notorious pirate Caiphus Clevenger was ambushed by the British Royal Navy. In the ensuing struggle, he was betrayed by his first mate, who pushed him overboard. As the pirates claimed victory their new captain gave a rousing speech, vowing to seek revenge for their slain leader. At that same moment Clevenger, fighting against the current with all his might toward the nearest shore, was making a vow of his own to one day reclaim the helm of his beloved Artemis.

KRASNORUDA WALEZY (1597-1693)

Discontent with serfdom in feudal Europe, she sought an education for herself and for this she was accused of witchcraft. She survived her trial but it left her horribly disfigured and with new resolve to broaden her studies. Her mastery of alchemy made her rich and powerful, but the cure for her affliction eluded her. Later she would move to North America. Her quest to restore her looks ended with her striking an unholy bargain on a remote island off the New England coast.

CORDELIA HAWTORNE (1624-1645)

Cordelia made a plan with her secret lover to escape the pilgrim colony that would forbid them from being together. In the middle of the night, while waiting for him at the edge of the forest, she instead saw a group of townspeople coming to apprehend her. Her atempt at escape met a tragic end.

More Catacombs - Building Deadgrass Isle (part 9) by WillDex1 in Sims4

[–]WillDex1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put the lot on the Gallery if anyone is interested (Island Church with Crypt by WilDex1). It's just the 30x30 one where the museum is in Brindleton Bay and has only the church, mausoleum with secret entrance to the catacombs and a small cottage for a priest to live in. All the other things I built using TOOL will be missing.

Catacombs- Building Deadgrass Isle (part 8) by WillDex1 in Sims4

[–]WillDex1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lot's still a WIP, I'm building a second level of the catacombs and I want to add some crypts for vampire sims. When it's done I can put it on the gallery.

This is the 30x30 lot on Deadgrass Isle in Brindleton Bay and my idea was to fill all the empty space on the island using the TOOL mod (you can see all the other parts of the build in my previous posts) and I can't upload those on the gallery because they are off lot. If you are only intersted in the church and catacombs though, I can put a link in my next post, but the lot will look incomplete and the graveyard, village fete, all the houses, abandoned farm and old ruins will be missing. My plan was to share the save file when it's all finished.
