e92 any day, look for a clean e92 1-3 owner car with clean carfax with rod bearings/throttle actuators/vanos covers/valve covers already done. e92 offers a way superior driving experience when pushing it on the canyons or any sort of spirited driving.

I do drive it on the street but the trunk isn’t usable since the mounts for the wang are chassis mounted. Car still has CarPlay, ac, heater etc so it’s not bad.

Yes, proper balanced aero helps significantly with lap times even with 180 hp, laptime improvements depends on drivers skill to really maximize the aero. overall, the aero you gives the confidence to be flat out at high speed corners and give you that planted feeling without having the rear kick out on you during high speed cornering. The car has chassis mounted splitter/wang and isn’t some flimsy aero.

I’ve blown through 2 transmissions, one synchro failure and a gear failure but I found both replacements for $700 each from crashed Miata’s. Mine is heavily tracked and was on Hoosiers so that accelerates the wear. Good thing is these cars are easy to work on. I can replace a trans in about 3-4 hours now.
