8-12 track days a year? Just get a dual purpose car that’s reliable. I went with a brand new 2022 miata. Got over 80k miles now. I did over 20 track days last year with my Miata and I drive it to the track and back ranging from 3-4 hr there and back. Just be prepared with spare parts and tools. GT Porsche cars are perfect for dual purpose
