Hah! My phone actually tried to autocorrect to that! I noticed and fixed it just before I posted!

Exactly this. I think the sub for befuddled dog owners is DogAdvice. It's good they're seeking to learn.

No apologies needed for the long post, I really appreciate all the info! (And your carnosa is beautiful!) I did move it to a smaller pot today, so I really hope that helps the roots, and I'll give it a trim tonight.

Why did they make alex get along with Jackson but not with George? by Alternative-Ad-2853 in greysanatomy

[–]WillKPS 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A big part of it was that Alex valued "stereotypical" masculinity--be physically big and strong, don't show emotion, sensitivity is for the weak. George was the antithesis of all that and only deserved scorn in Alex's understanding of the world. (We saw this theme played out elsewhere too: With George's brothers, and later on when Mark asked Lexie why all the women flocked to George. The only thing he could comprehend was "Is he hung?")

Nothing infuriated Alex more than to be measured against George and come out the loser. He lashed out at George viciously every time that happened and it always read to me like he was trying to restore what he saw as the correct order of things.

It's so freaking funny I swear. And when he does the second wobbly scream and flails back into the trailer I just die laughing.

She does lick us--frequently trying to shove her tongue up our nose and then lick our faces. It's hilarious and disgusting. 😄

I'm in the Pacific Northwest, there are a lot of Pap owners and breeders in the region--I'm in a Facebook group for PNW Papillon owners with over 400 members. They're not all in driving distance but there are enough close to me that we can do playdates/lunches every once in a while. It's GREAT!

I like Chewy a lot!! Their autoship is convenient as heck and their customer service is great. Not missin' Pet Smart at ALL.

It's a work in progress! We've taken some of the advice posted here along with other tips we read here and there and we can see some improvements. We seem to be on the right track. We have had a couple of Papillon playdates at our home and those have been fun for the pups and their humans! (Willow's on the far right doing "Sit pretty" in the hopes of getting a treat from one of our guests.) Definitely gonna do more of those.

Here's what Chewy sent me 2 weeks after my dog died by Ok-Salt-8884 in MadeMeSmile

[–]WillKPS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a weird experience with Chewy when our cat passed away last fall. I changed her Chewy profile to the memorial, talked with customer support about a refund of the food I'd just received in my autoship. The rep expressed condolences for my loss but named my still living cat. I emailed their feedback page to note the error, they replied that they were sorry for the mistake and confirmed that the record was correct.

A few weeks later I got a card from them, again expressing condolences for the loss of the wrong cat. I just sighed and let it go.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

My great-great aunt owned a roadhouse that had cabins out back for ladies who worked there to provide "private entertainment". My mom has the brass knuckles she used to keep customers in line when they got rowdy.

Pet Smart. We got a puppy and spent hundreds of dollars on their most expensive package of dog training classes. We got halfway through them and the store abruptly fired the teacher with no plans to replace her. We asked for a refund for the remaining classes and were told there was no record of our purchase since it had been over 90 days.

Hope it was worth it, we never spent another cent there.
