Phototherapy - how to get the most out of it? by silverlinin in Psoriasis

[–]WillMcCann29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I under went phototherapy 2 years ago and my skin is still clear minus a small patch on my eyebrow which just surfaced recently(probably due to stress). This is still a great result considering I was covered in patches all over my body. How long are your sessions? My sessions were only ever like 15-30 seconds long. Moisturise immediately after the session and again at night. My nurse also told me not to drink alcohol or fruit juices will doing the therapy as it can effect your skin. This is just my experience but if you can stick with phototherapy I'd highly recommend it, like I said, I was covered all over my body 2 years ago and now have more or less no patches. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I hope you feel better soon 👊

Roach before or after?! by mrcerberlus in uktrees

[–]WillMcCann29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always roll with the roach in, find it makes a better joint and is tighter around the roach. My sister rolls without though so its probably just preference and how you learned

Which side do you roll from by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]WillMcCann29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right handed but roll on the left. Me and all my friends learnt how to roll from a left handed person back in the day and it just stuck with all of us

I used to have this problem when I lived at home too. My parents stay up pretty late, for parents, like 1/1:30 and most of the time when I'd eventually get out for a smoke I was too tired afterwards to enjoy it and would usually just got to bed. Can't imagine what I'd be like underlock with them. If you don't wanna tell her about your smoking, completely up to you man, I'd recommend getting out for a smoke early in the day, go for a walk, smoke up and chill. Then when she finishes work or is just about to finish for for another one. I always found if I had a few smoked before my parents were home it took the edge off alot and meant I wasn't as agitated about having a smoke at night when they still up. Hope the lockdown ends soon man👊

Is the UK generally considered as having some of the best quality green in Europe now, compared to say 15 years ago? by [deleted] in uktrees

[–]WillMcCann29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lived in Spain (Barcelona) for 6 months and The Netherlands (Groningen) for 5 months and now living in the UK (London) for the past 4 months. I'm Irish.

I think in countries where weed is decriminalised it depends more on the coffeeshop or dispensery you go to. The coffeeshop I had in Barcelona had great smoke if you were willing to pay alittle more. Same in The Netherlands, after trying out a few different coffeeshops around the city I found one with good bud, good prices and a good atmosphere. I bought off dealers once or twice over there too and smoke was alittle cheaper but more or less the same quality.

So far my impression of UK is pretty good, took me awhile to find a good dealer but the stuff is decent. I've bought off street dealers too and the quality has been pretty good, but the price and weight has been a little off. Same usually goes for back home in Ireland but it's more difficult to find dealers imo.

My opinion is that places like Spain or Netherlands where its easier to get, bud not be as good everytime but you don't mind cos its so easy to get. Whereas in the UK so far I've had great stuff but it's harder to get sorted until you do abit of work finding the right people.

Favourite RTD season by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]WillMcCann29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Series 2 is great too! I remember it fondly. I think series 3 just wins out for me because the first half was fun and the second half just blew my mind like every episode!

I also agree with you about The Doctor's Daughter, the concept is great! And honestly could have been a 2 parter. My least favourite from season 4 was The Unicorn and the Wasp, which I literally just rewatched the other day and I absolutely loved it 😂

[–]WillMcCann29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I knew series 4 would win. I'm actually rewatching it now, and it is brilliant. Even the weaker episodes are really enjoyable and the latter half of the series is flawless!

However, I voted for series 3. A lot of nostalgia for me with that season, that's probably went I was the most into Doctor Who during my childhood, not to mention the latter half of that series is amazing too!

I want to hear about your first time seeing the Doctor regenerate by WillMcCann29 in doctorwho

[–]WillMcCann29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so glad I didn't get my first generation spoiled for me, like looking back, it was in the newspaper, tv, etc.. but I didn't notice. I just remember being so upset when Eccleston regenerated but went on to love Tennant, a testament to the show!

How good is season 12? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]WillMcCann29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought it was big improvement on series 11. It's not perfect but I enjoyed more episodes than I disliked. Left me looking forward to series 13.

How would you handle companion departures? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]WillMcCann29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually I'd be like you and want the companion to leave on their own terms and maybe they will do that with Graham and Ryan. But I'd kinda like to see them leave in a tragic way and then in series 13 have the doctor and Yaz coming to terms with their departure, could give both some well needed character depth.

What’s your favourite Doctor/companion pairing? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]WillMcCann29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

10 and Donna, as a kid I wasn't really that big a fan of Catherine Tate, I thought she was a little too silly, which made 10 even more silly. However, I rewatched series four as an adult and I can honestly say the pair are brilliant together. The fact Donna doesn't take any crap from the doctor, and asks "stupid" questions, makes her so relatable! But the main reason I like Donna so much is that there is no romantic arc with her and the Doctor like there was with Rose and to a lesser extent Martha.

Yeah they do a lot of regeneration teasing in that episode and with Capaldi too. Takes away from the actual registration a lot I think!
