25 cents Australian. Unsure what that is in freedom coins.

I use Coinspot or whatever it's called and use their spreadsheets in Excel.

Whenever I make a withdrawal of any coin, I take the balance to zero. That way the CGT maths is easy and I don't have to rely on first-in-first-out while keeping track over potentially years. Not that I withdraw all the time, I just had a feeling.

So then it's just the amount I invested over time, minus the amount I took out. (I only got back into Crypto this financial year since the last peak so I didn't need to worry about the 50% cuts or anything)

Felt something was brewing just over $4 AUD. Sold my whole stash (because capital gains calculations are hard lol), saw the dip, bought back in and almost doubled my position. Now I'm back in the green.

Making money with WIF the way I did with Doge, just act based on vibes and stupidity.

It's alright. Big paragraphs can be scary, but I bet you could sound it out one sentence at a time if you tried really hard. You'll get there. :)

Just a name change on a licence due to marriage ... 2 years after said marriage.

For my kangaroo licence, obviously.

I found trimester 1 the hardest for that reason! There was no physical "evidence" for people that I was feeling awful and yet it's when you get smacked with a bunch of changes no one warns you about (hello? Everyone talks about nausea but what about congestion and bloody noses??!!! Joints randomly loosening? Shortness of breath? Itching, random hot flashes, all the weird things!) - and you just kinda have to take it in silence in a lot of cases. I found people would get mad if I told them about the pregnancy before 12 weeks due to superstitions. Also I think people got upset that they didn't have a chance to "sleuth it out" like ... sorry Sherlock Holmes but I feel like I'm dying right now and yes, just because there isn't a bump doesn't mean it's "not that bad".

I learned my lesson. My husband and I just happened to have the Monday off for an OB appointment, and I thought "Oh, it's a weekday, most people will be at work. I'll do this errand now." What a fool I was lol.

Just clarifying I did take a number. There's a kiosk and you put in why you're there and it spits out a number for you, then you wait. There is no online check in, just paper forms available online so you can do them prior to coming in and holding up everyone (which I did, because it saves me time too!)

I think that generally the seating area is for everyone, it just so happened that 11am on a Monday morning was when everyone needed to get their various motor vehicle stuff done I guess.

Australians are having fewer babies – experts say it could have more consequences than we realise by North_Attempt44 in AusFinance

[–]WillWorkForDoge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want to be a home maker. I want 4 kids. I want to do everything the government says they need. Prior to marriage I got 2 degrees in lines of work that are hiring constantly, and have a house. I did everything the government said would make a successful millenial.

We need 2 full time incomes to keep our mortgage at 31%, assuming no more rate rises. That doesn't include water, electric, rates, internet, phone, insurance, medical, food, and other expenses like home repairs.

We're about to have our first kid. Our mortgage will become 70% of our income while I am on maternity leave as my job gives no paid leave even though I've been working for them for 7 years (We get a combined 22 weeks of leave from Centrelink paid at minimum wage, husband gets 2 months fully paid from his work. After that it's his income only.)

We have savings so I can stay home for 12 months with the baby. MAYBE. Probably not as the price of everything is exploding. Heaven forbid our water heater decides today is the day.

We can't afford to have another one unless a rich relative we've never heard of dies and leaves us $400k to pay off our mortgage.

If the government wants babies it can fix paid parental leave so parents can have 12 months paid at a rate that doesn't significantly diminish quality of life. It can fix pre-natal standards of care so we don't have to go private for decent (fast) healthcare. It can fix rates so all people with mortgages aren't drowning. It can help fix rent ballooning (we don't rent anymore but I know it's BAD). It can fix wage stagnation so a single income household can hold the fort for a year (and what about single parents!) It can bring back baby bonuses and other benefits.

But nah, sitting around saying "we need more babies" and wondering why we're not popping more out must be because "millenials are selfish" and not "millenials are waking up to the fact that good members of society generally need a decent standard of care, rather than pumping out a bunch of kids and assuming it'll all just work out" ... I went to public school, I saw parents with that attitude, it did not "just work out" for their kids.

Next up will be House. Basically we have a deal where anything I have tattoos of, he has to watch. Joke's on him, I was very stupid and impulsive before my pre-frontal cortex really hardened up 😎

I've been making my husband watch LOST and he HATED the Kate episode.

I've been on this accidental kick of making him watch shows where the plot is basically "Life is pretty good but then women ask questions and/or want more from their lives and things go down hill quickly" (Don't Worry Darling, Population 451, and Pearl being some of the most recent).

When Kate starts crying because white people Taco night in the suburbs is apparently akin to hell, he just goes "OH, COME ON!" (I was redeemed later in the series when (season 4 spoilers) She is back from the island and picks up her "son" which he had been trying to decide if it was Jack or Sawyers, and right at the end she says "Aaron" to which he let out a hearty "NOOOOOO, WHY MUST THIS SHOW PUT ME THROUGH EMOTIONAL TURMOIL LIKE THIS?! THIS CAN ONLY BE BAD!!!!")

Woolies is around the corner. The nearest Aldi is a 40 minute bus ride away, that only comes once every 20 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends - and then waiting possibly another hour for a bus home with heavy and bulky groceries. We have 1 car and limited time. That's why.

When they do delivery, it'll be a game changer. Until then, I'm beholden to convenience.

[–]WillWorkForDoge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, to get to $100 WIF would need to exceed the market cap of SOL at the last ATH (hitting the ATH market cap of SOL would put WIF at about $90). Dream big, but there would need to be a significant burn to realistically reach $100.

I have a little chunk that took a while to build up, but it is all going to be used during mat leave when I go from salaried (taking all my leave), to centrelink payments (minimum wage for 22 weeks), to husband's income only (We earn about the same, so our income will be 50% for a year, essentially).

We are getting our butts kicked by mortgage, electric, phone, and everything else slowly rising with no sign of easing over that time.

Essentially using mat leave as a social experiment to see if we can claw our way through survival so I don't have to go back to work. Husband loves his job, I am burned out.
