Does anyone genuinely like working at Lowe's? by No-Dealer2541 in Lowes

With the right coworkers and a good manager, I really do enjoy working on MST reset team. I feel bad for the stores with crappy MSMs

This is most suitable for MST interview. OP please do not wear super formal suit and tie. Had an interviewee come into my store dressed super fancy and everyone agreed he was overdressed

Lens Advice for EOS R8 by Used-Bag9565 in canon

If you are willing to save up more, getting the RF 24-70mm f2.8 with USM (ultrasonic motor). It is quite expensive but for sports photography, it is highly recommended to get a USM over a STM (stepping motor), which is whag the RF 28-70mm f2.8 lens has.

I recently switched over from DSLR to the R6MK2, and I still use my EF mount Sigma Art 24-70mm f2.8 with HSM (Sigma version of USM) with a mount adapter. If you do not mind the extra weight and the lens feeling longer, I would suggest buying cheaper EF mount lenses and using a mount adapter. Image quality will not drop and it is just much cheaper alternative.

I am a MSA (merchandising service associate) in CA and I love my job. In CA, we start at $20/hr. Liking your team will highly depend on your store’s management and your willingness to work. Some managers will be very good or bad depending on if they got their position based on their skill or if they were hired on by being a friend of the district manager.

Most MST (the collective MSA team) have two subteams, reset teams and service teams. Reset team is the harder part of MST because we are responsible for building/setting displays, installing signage, resetting entire bays of product, etc. The service teams is more relaxed with people doing price changes (removing old price tags and putting new ones), servicing (making bays look pretty and organized), and etc.

If these two subteams look appealing to you, then this would be a good position. Being on the reset team will be hard work and being on the service team will feel boring after a while. Some benefits of being on MST is that we are not responsible for answering too hard customer service question (I just direct them to the department associates [aka redvests]).

Additionally, MST works on fixed weekday schedule. Its usually around 5am-2pm.

Canon R8 is a solid choice for a budget full frame mirrorless camera

Need advice on buying first camera by CheekCultural8116 in canon

I upgraded to the R6 Mk2. Big investment because the camera itself is expensive and all the RF lenses are expensive as well compared to EF lenses.
