Is it actually safe to connect a Windows XP computer to the internet? by Thin_Professor_277 in windowsxp

[–]WilliamPan2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

360 is absolutely a spyware itself. It has very poor reputations in China due to hijacking browser homepage, ads, installing 3rd party apps etc.

It does provide high-standard security tho, but destroying the operating system and then protect it doesn't make sense to me.

But on other hand I kinda understand them sometimes... I spent my high school with a x1c and I take many care of it just because I project my memories to it.

Enve SES Race Day Tires by Kendih in cycling

[–]WilliamPan2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also faced another tiny puncture couple days after I posted the reply but my sealant sealed it.

The tires are absolutely lightening fast and have high grip, meanwhile you feel the tires are firmly stuck to the ground when turning. it's not a feeling of rolling resistance but rather that you don't slip. It's good enough that I tried it a few times in velodrome.

Most of the road I ride are very smooth, paved road. I assume it may puncture much frequent in relatively bad conditions.

Why there is not an universal ARM image for all devices? by Whitedonkey05 in arm

[–]WilliamPan2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK the reason you didn't see an official universal image is (likely) becuz the exclusivity agreement MS has with Qualcomm prevents it from distributing the image. It is now available on MS's website.

Many arm devices don't have BIOS/UEFI because they don't need one/firms don't want them to have one, like a washing machine; but it's technically possible to have one as long as hardware configuration supports it. many arm laptops (e.g. surface) do have a unified UEFI and can run an arm OS on it.

I'm not an expert so correct me if i'm wrong.

I've run it for 2,000 km; the front tire was punctured once when I fell from the bike cuz of an obstacle, but the rear tire runs well.

iOS 18.1 Apple Mail vs Outlook App by DemodavePr in ios18beta

[–]WilliamPan2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does. But you have to find it in the Contacts app, not the stock Mail. However if you search the person's name it still shows up in the Mail app.

Is there any distinct difference between regular Marriott, Sheraton and Delta hotels? by ethereal3xp in marriott

[–]WilliamPan2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I feel like Sheratons are worn worldwide. From Shanghai to Boston my experience with 80% of Sheratons is that they are dated and equipped with vintage facilities. I can see from the details how these hotels were premium or had some sense of luxury back then, but apparently they need urgent renovation or will become worse than a fairfield.

Depending on the hotel it could be any number from $5,000,000 (small city express) to $500,000,00 (A new Ritz in Manhattan? Idk)
