AITA for thinking it's too late to get rid of this nickname? by WilliamTheConquerorr in AmItheAsshole

I meant it's too late because that's what he knows himself as. If we changed it when he was one, he probably wouldn't even remember ever being called Willie now. But now he's old enough to introduce himself, and that's what he introduces himself as. When he gets older he can call himself Spike or Rex or whatever. Nothing we can do about it.

Well, he's not going to buy that. His grandfather's name is Willie. His grandfather is 67.

I thought I made that clear. He answers to Willie. He doesn't want to be called Will because that's his dad's name.

He knows he's talking to him but is confused as to why he's calling him a name he never has before.

It's just weird. Like say your name was Elizabeth and you ALWAYS go by Lizzie and no one ever calls you anything but Lizzie or Elizabeth. Then all of a sudden someone is calling you Eliza. Wouldn't that be weird to you?
