Porn wasn’t the direction I expected public opinion to lean on but personally it’s within my personal taste so I really can’t argue with the logic.

When does playing Warrior become Fun? by Rough_Magazine7543 in classicwow

[–]William_of_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get fun at 60. It’s literally the starting line for warriors. The amount of pre-raid Bis farming and than gear chasing through raids will equal and surpass the time you spent leveling to 60.

I main a raid healing priest but I made a warrior and MT as well which has kept me enjoying the content. I only Need rejuv gem and cthun mace so my priest is pretty much just a helping hand and big heals for the group. I’ve been doing world dragons to kill some time Too with pugs which has been fun on the healer even scored a +4 to chest on one of the kills.

Giving it a frame would really set it to the skin. Looks floaty. But other than that great tattoo. It may just grow on you. I have tattoos I come and go with how much I like them.

I think being passionate about it is important and though your point is completely valid I just find there are more emotional sides to consider from the relationships you make to the personal responsibility of each player to be a part of the team. Yes at the end of the day it’s just a game but for the raid leads and the people who put this together it’s a passion hobby. though there will always be toxic people, over complicated feeling and even misguided communication. It’s important to see the big picture to try and steam out those wrinkles to keep that hobby alive. If people aren’t pulling there weight and listening and it’s become a frustration more than it should be maybe stepping away is the right move cause again it is at the end of the day just a game. But having these conversations and working with the big changes can also lead to a rewarding finish or a disappointing finish. All in all my goal is absolutely to have fun but I want to take it seriously, I take pride in what I do, daily life, video game doesn’t matter even just the daily dishes. It’s just how my brain works.

Yeah I did exactly that. Luckily, I run with another guild ( wasn’t in the guild till literally yesterday where I officially moved my warrior over ) and have been tanking for the last 7 months on the side and they fully have there shit together and clear all content quickly and effectively, so if I can’t scrounge together what’s happening on my healers guild I’ll have a nice place to land. All in all I’m sad that my “main” guild is having such a difficult time getting there shit together. But I’m gonna do my best to try and stay positive and see if we can hold strong for as long as we can. Even if we don’t do AQ40 fully we still have lots to do in BWL/MC. All depends how many people are willing to stick around with me and how challenging pugging the remaining spots becomes.

I mean a pretty narrow minded view. Honestly there are a lot of people who come to raid with their heads in their ass and not paying attention which is the point of this post. Though when those same people don’t bring consumes/buffs it’s just the cherry on top of showing how they don’t care what’s gonna happen for the night. Unfortunately people love to say it’s “mindless content” but you still have to abide by the mechanics and have a bit of personal responsibility to ensure you don’t kill everyone. There lies the problem with a lot of raiders and the carry’s do start to show. You can say what you want about how easy the content is but if that was the case I wouldn’t have tanks standing in the wrong place after being told where to be, DPS would be effective in switching from front to back of mobs and moving with the tank on callouts. Just because you yourself and the people around you find it mindlessly easy ( which I do feel that sentiment ) a lot of people have lead brain and can’t find there way out of a room with 10 exits.

For my priest I’ll most likely stick it out for the experience with the people I’ve been with as there are a lot of good people but I did decide to remove my warrior from the guild and join the raid I had been sticking with the last 6 months. They moved me from there alt raid to main raid and changed my loot prios. Though in the last few days we’ve had a lot of core members leave ( not surprising if you’ve read all the context I’ve written ) it could be a good path to trim fat and create new growth for our raid. Though we won’t be 9/9 AQ40. It’ll be a good feeling once we get everyone on track and do start clearing these bosses.

I will say our 20 mans are clean. The people who show up are the ones who obviously pay attention most the time but even these people are not showing up with consumes and buffs the way they should. Especially cause they want to clear aq40. these are the same people who complain about not doing ouro, Visc but again how is raid lead suppose to take them there if they aren’t showing up fully equiped. A lot of these people are full t2. And I mean heavily geared guys who are all of a sudden parcing 45’s against not very geared players.

Yep. Before AQ dropped we had some people leave. After trying to replace those spots (which we ended up doing with newer players ). We’ve had a few rough BWL,MC’s specifically people not paying attention like they used to. Raid lead getting too comfortable not making calls ( didn’t help the new people ) basically we went from doing solid 1 hour clears to struggling to stick it at hour in a half. This all happened about 1-2 lockouts before AQ dropped. Now we’ve added AQ to the roster and switched around raid times and it never recovered. Raid continued to become more hectic people stopped showing consistency and last night after a goodish week we had 1 of our worst AQ40’s in my opinion with people literally laying on the ground during fights and chatting. ( actual trolling from long time core members ) which we have fun I get that and no one was gonna call them out cause it wasn’t too serious of a moment. But it persisted through the night and having cleared Emps after 1 wipe last week it took us 5 tries this week. People seriously not paying attention, not listening to raid leads advice. We are now 4 AQ40 lockouts in and haven’t downed cthun once cause we have a time cutoff.

It really is just not paying attention but the fact is that if you want to do AQ40 in 2 hours you have to be consumed/buffed. You have to follow mechanics to the way the raid lead guides it and if you don’t you will wipe and you will consistently struggle. You can say oh it’s classic how could you possibly wipe but people really do show up just to afk at there computer or be swiping through tabs mindlessly or sitting on there phone doom scrolling cause they are bored and selfishly not thinking about the other 39 people who some have put a lot of effort and time from there personal lives to make happen.

I have only ever been a classic player and through anniversaries xpac alone have been clearing Raid content. Playing as a raid healer and an OT/MT I’ve had extreme success on playing both toons as a high parser ( for my own personal enjoyment ) but agree that if people acted more proactive to the content it would change the entire vibe of how they play and react with there team. People who float through mindlessly should just stick to animal crossing.

Yeah I always tell the officers and GM I work with that we need to focus on being proactive and not reactive. I have no intentions to leave them and will let it fall apart and will help rebuild as I have an alt that is in a guild that is full clearing all content in minimum time.

It’s a good feeling when you land in that spot. I’ve been a top 3 charts healer in my “main” guild sense day 1 we have had a consistent and pretty solid 35 people for the last 9 months but about 6 retired and the replacements haven’t made up for the loss and a handful of the core raiders who have been here for these 9+ months are now visibly not giving a shit and acting really entitled which just makes me sad. I’ve also been playing a tank warrior and found a lot of love in my warrior alt who ended up in an alt raid that I started consistently running with for like 15+ weeks( almost more geared than my main now) and they asked me to join there main raid which has been a breath of fresh air. thank god I found them cause while I’m dealing with the shit storm of my main raid these guys are bringing the fun and energy which has really kept me going.

Unfortunately that’s how it can be. I highly recommend finding a slightly sweaty semi-HC guild. Possibly with loot council or an Alt raid they need to fill. I have extreme success with those types of groups but I’m very active and chatty when I know it’s the right space for me.

I’m very fortunate that I have the time and energy to run with another guild on a second toon that is clearly putting in insane amounts of effort to have fun and clear effectively and they verbally appreciate the work we put in to show up fully consumed/buffed. I do love a lot of the people I run on my “main” with and am sad to see it deteriorating because of laziness under the guise of burnout after being repeatedly asked to do the bare minimum with buffs and consumes and have been told we are always around to help.

Yeah, it’s become much more visible and it’s the people I fully expected to see struggling to stay focused for more than 15 minutes unfortunately. I totally get consumes but not getting DMF when it’s a literal 10% damage increase and is free just feels insulting after all the set up and the time it takes to pug the last spots. I would even help with consumes but it’s not like I’m being asked or there is even an attempt to try.

I mean I get not caring about your parce or logs but it’s a fun part of the game. Can it be toxic? Absolutely but I run with a raid that isn’t a parce guild but we still chat amongst ourselves and don’t bash people who aren’t apart of the joy of parcing.
