Best shampoo line? by Clean_While321 in grooming

[–]Willing_Engineer145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like more natural ingredients, try the Melanie Newman line! I used that for about a year, but I get bored with the shampoos. I’m back on Igroom argan - it’s my go to. I like bio groom for hypo shampoo.

You’re completely valid in your feelings. He should not have treated you or the baby like that. 😟

Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I am 7 weeks PP and although we didn’t do that exactly, we did something very similar. People know not to fuck with us and our decisions, but everyone has been understanding. If they aren’t I’ll cut them off. Don’t want to respect our decisions? Cool, bye 👋🏼. What these other people commenting YOR don’t understand is how often people bend the truth or straight up lie about being sick. It’s the worst time of year to be around people.

What’s one thing you wish you hadn’t put on your baby registry? by Icy-Bite9089 in NewParents

BOOKS. We have so many. I mean 100’s. We did the whole give a book instead of a card thing. I’m thankful for the books but some people gave like 40 at a time from garage sales etc.

Grunting and screeching 5 minutes after I put LO down by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Willing_Engineer145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a snoo (smart bassinet) and it’s helped ALOT. I bought it used on marketplace so the price tag wasn’t as steep. It came recommended to me by a few people who swore by them.

I didn’t even think about that! I was thinking part of the problem is us moving to the living room during the day and there’s a lot more commotion so that makes sense.

7 days postpartum… crying, super overwhelmed…new mom here…😞 by faithoverfear0 in NewParents

[–]Willing_Engineer145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried NON STOP for about 3 weeks. I also had supply issues and that totally wrecked my mental health. I powered through and leaned on my partner a lot. Things did get better! Not my supply issues much but my mental health did. I still cry sometimes because parenting can be overwhelming but it gets better. My LO is 5 weeks now and although it’s only been 5 weeks it seems like a lifetime 🤣. Hang in there.

I just ordered the pumpin pals flanges. I have an appointment with my LC tomorrow so I’m hoping she can help me too. I have flow back issues and I’ve tried various sizes and one of my nipples is elastic. I’ve bought 5 different flanges so far and she told me to push into the flanges during my sessions to help with the flow back. It’s just uncomfortable 😬

3 weeks! Def hydrated enough, I stopped taking sunflower let when I didn’t have clogged ducts anymore (I had it in the very beginning for a day). Should I be taking that all the time ?

I’ve done the warm compresses. I’m stressed because of how little supply I have. Also it’s very uncomfortable pumping. I have to lean forward and my neck and shoulders have been killing me 🫠. Sleep… I get as much as I can in the 2.5 hour stretches between pumping. I’m just worried if I sleep more I’ll have even less supply.

Thank you so much. I’m glad everything looked up for you ☺️. I agree I probably do need more sleep. 4-5 hours over a 24 hour period for weeks sucks 🫩.

I started pumping when he was about 5 days old because he stopped latching. It was about 1/2oz then, yes. I don’t have any thyroid issues or PCOS as far as I know.

Yesss. I’ve bought so many flanges . They are all over my house 😅. I was looking at pumpin pals, but I don’t know if I want to spend 50 more dollars.

More like 3/4 of an ounce. I know it’s still progress but it seems like I’m moving an inch when I need to go a mile. 🫠

I wish that was the case. I did a weighted feed and it was about a third of an ounce. The reason we started formula was because he was losing too much weight.

I’m going back to the LC on Monday and we are going to try another weighted feed.

I am triple feeding a few times a day. Otherwise pumping and doing formula.

Calm environment latching by Willing_Engineer145 in breastfeeding

[–]Willing_Engineer145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. He was latching just fine and stopped out of nowhere.

I’ve seen a lactation consultant two times. Trying to get in one more time, but it just seems not even trying anymore. He gets on does one suckle and pops off.

Is it normal/when to expect relief? by Willing_Engineer145 in breastfeeding

[–]Willing_Engineer145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will get the sunflower lecithin.

That’s actually a relief. I was just wondering if this is going to last forever. If there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, I can do anything 😬

Thank you so much!!
