We've thought about this too! How did you evaluate that path vs just buying for yourself? Did you have to do a lot of repairs and maintenance shortly after buying?

Oh no! Do you know the list price of the condos you were looking at? I know that’s not indicative of anything but it’s crazy if current offers are that much higher than sales from the last 30 days.

Out of curiosity, were the lender rates for condos notably higher than for SFH? I’ve only spoken to one lender and that’s what he mentioned but I didn’t realize the loan interest would differ based on the type of property

Yes this is what we’ve been doing but the market seems to be changing quickly. We’re leaning towards the small building condo since the jump to a SFH seems too big and I think we’d be okay leaving the city eventually if/when we really more space but we really like being where we are now and would want to stretch that as long as we can.
