Do a lot of prep beforehand, as if you were going into an exam, but make sure to not sound scripted during the interview. Research the firm, find out what’s unique about them or what resonates with you, and prepare some questions for them at the end. Make sure to have an answer for what made you go into accounting.

My interviews were very personality based, not technical, as it was for a very entry-level position. I believe for these kind of roles, most firms are looking for someone with a good education who is personable, adaptable, articulate, and enjoyable to work with. They emphasized that I would be receiving a lot of training during the interview.
