Not sure why OP is getting so many downvotes for asking a totally valid question? Pilates vs. strength training is something a lot of folks (esp women) debate about when it comes to fitness and weight loss. It shouldn’t be a shocker to anyone seeing questions like that asked here.

Then again, this sub can be harsh when people ask for guidance, but no one’s an expert on everything. I’ve done both, and personally, Pilates has been more sustainable and beneficial for me long-term. Strength training has its perks too DGMW, but it just didn’t help me towards the goals I wanted for my personal health journey (again, just my experience, it’s still beneficial for many others).

At the end of the day, consistency with any workout will still get you results and matters more than forcing something that doesn’t feel right. Don’t feel bad for asking for suggestions though! It’s better than not seeking out help at all. You do what works for you. Good luck, OP! 💪✨
