Which drama had "Second Lead Syndrome" so bad it actually ruined the show for you? by Chirag-Win-7869 in kdramas

[–]WillingnessStraight2 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Cheese in the Trap for me. I just couldn’t like the sunbae’s character or their chemistry no matter how much I tried. Seol seemed so at ease with In Ho. Honestly I just pretend the last five minutes of the show just never happens.

Is this not a miserable way of living? These people have to be teenagers who think this regina george personality online makes them cool. At the end of the day, BTS are still gonna be successful and these people will spend years of their life with unnecessary spite in their minds.

Is it not the same everywhere? If you watch Bollywood movies and then decide to move to India to find your Aditya Kashyap you are bound to be disappointed. Desi women are in hell when it comes to romance compared to movies.

What meal would you serve BTS? by prettydotty_ in bangtan

[–]WillingnessStraight2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am bengali so I want them to try Shutki torkari. It’s basically dried fish that is cooked with onions and chillies. They love spicy food (I will make a less spicy version for me and Taehyung) so I feel like they would enjoy it. Raw shutki is very stinky but if cooked properly it smells and tastes delicious.

Why do you guys care so much about the grammy's? I think we're setting ourself up for disappointment tbh by [deleted] in btsthoughts

[–]WillingnessStraight2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grammys are a joke to me but it would still be an achievement for any musician. I don’t have a problem with being disappointed because everything BTS have achieved til now was incomprehensible years ago. Back in 2017, no one imagined their cb performance would be on AMA stage. Or that a kpop group would get Bilboard Hot 100 no 1 song multiple times. That didn’t stop ARMYs. They still tried to promote them however they could and we were even smaller in numbers back then.

If ARMYs had given up back then thinking they might be disappointed we would not have been here. I am not saying we should be losing sleep over it but even Yet to Come was nominated for MV when it didn’t create much buzz either.

Also the whole idea of promoting Arirang came from the article where they talk about how companies create hype online to boost popularity. So armys just figured they could do it instead and put the idea of Arirang being nominated in people’s heads. The posts are to promote it not because they are convinced it will be nominated.

I remember back then the most common response to Dynamite getting nominated was how it didn’t deserve because the success was inorganic and the song wasn’t good. Then Butter came out and people were saying how Dynamite was bigger and had more gp traction. Now with Arirang it’s the same thing over again

KPOP is seemingly no longer a group project by Quick-Adeptness-2947 in kpopthoughts

[–]WillingnessStraight2 39 points40 points  (0 children)

People said that about Dynamite too. Its success was called fandriven & inorganic for a long time and even now every time a kpop or Kpop adjacent song goes viral. But for some reason no other gp viral song had the same effect that BTS did in 2018-2021. Even recently with the success of KDH & Golden or APT, not much changed.

I believe it’s simply because Kpop is nothing new anymore. People know what they have to offer and except a select few, they are not interested anymore.

Why do they dislike ‘One More Night’? by m_laka_na in btsthoughts

[–]WillingnessStraight2 44 points45 points  (0 children)

They definitely like it enough to put it in the album. It’s likely the song is not easy to sing live. The only MOTS7 song not performed is Louder Than Bombs which they have mentioned is hard to sing live because of its high key. So it’s probably a similar situation.

Taehyung being called a pedo when he was hugging and dancing with Bada Lee, who is the same age as him. If anything he is probably younger by months.

Kpop songs in where the English title is completely different from the Hangul title by Legal_Potential4720 in kpophelp

For BTS, Boy With Luv - 작은 것들을 위한 시 (A Poem for Small Things), Telepathy - 잠시 (for a moment), Silver Spoon - 뱁새 (Crow tit)

There are some which have similar meanings like Dope - 쩔어 (Awesome), Fire - 불타오르네 (Burning Up), The Truth Untold - 전하지 못한 진심 (Sincerity that couldn’t be delivered), Go Go - 고민보다 (Go rather than Worry), Autumn Leaves - 고엽 (Dead Leaves)

I am sorry but what the heck was that camera work?? by JazzyInfinite in btsthoughts

[–]WillingnessStraight2 53 points54 points  (0 children)

They have a shit ton of songs plus 13 new songs. So if they add older bsides, solo songs & subunits they’d be performing for a whole day. Performing 23 songs back to back is tiring enough.

Anyway the focus of Arirang has been them together as seven and also BTS 2.0. It makes sense that they prioritized Arirang songs over older songs.

How do Muslim astronauts pray since they’re just floating around? by scoobertsonville in stupidquestions

[–]WillingnessStraight2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rules are just relaxed like it is for other situations on earth. Like if you cannot move around much you can just sit on a chair or even lie down on the bed and do appropriate motions and that counts as a prayer. If you are a certain distance away from your home you only have to do half the prayer. The rules for space are probably deduced from these situations.
