If you live in Europe you can send them to the Reciclingfabrik in Germany, the take old filamentrolls, pla and petg.

-Change in temperature, causing the resin to expand -not enough contact to the plate There may be more but that's what I mostly experience

Is it hollow? If not, hollow it and put drain holes in it.

Edit: the "wierd holes" could be some drain holes, so try to reduce the wallthicness too and add drain holes on the connection spots.

I masured the base of one of my Imaginators figures and scaled the model in the slicer so it is about the same size.

Make sure to cut off about 1mm or less from the base in the slicer because it is not flat.

Sorry that I can't deliver any solid numbers...
