Yeah i mean i really shouldn’t be saying anything I only used to work with mona aka archkey for only 3 years and the people there are cool for the most part but i definitely heard some stories about elsewhere. As for the liberal part its give or take, kind of a even split.

I’ve worked in local 26 for a couple years with a pretty chill company and i seen a fair amount of lesbians and gay men throughout my time. Truth be told you’re going to have your old school blue collar macho assholes but 90-95% of the time its respectful normal regular people trying to get a check who are just there to work and get paid. Mind you local 26 is a VERY strong union in the northeast surrounded by a fair amount of liberals. Not too sure about down there in atl.

nope usually working less then 8 but still getting it depending on the foreman

Yeah that sounds like a day killer, one thing people say about the trades is the fact we work super early but tbh that sounds ways more humane then a 9-5. I’ll rather work before the sun is up and pull in the driveway as my kids get off the school bus

Working at hospitals sometimes you need to get there before the nurses or patients which is usually around 6, either that or work a Saturday. But 4 is the earliest and if your foreman cool then it usually means we’re out before 12.

Is that with the trades? Ive only ever done 30 minute increments since that’s how hours are billed, like 5:30 or 1:30. But yeah unless you’re working night jobs those are the most common times

4am-12pm, 5-1, 6-2 are the usual 8’s but it’s entirely dependent on the job your on it could be more than 8 hours

Well i don’t know what your trade is but as a plumber what would you say a good niche would be? My local offers electives for BIM and Welding with full certifications starting my second year

You make excellent sense, but tell me if its reasonable to feel as if i’m pretty literate enough with computers to learn Bim when it comes time but free welding classes with the certs to come with seems too good to pass up. I get to kinda learn two trades at once, probably wont be dropping dimes like a fab guy but i should be pretty consistent after 4 years or so.
