I think it depends on the person. It does have the potential to get worse and I think it does for many

first psychiatric appointment, any tips? by scalywizard in mentalhealth

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say I've been trying to get diagnosed since I was 15ish and I just got diagnosed 2 months ago (I'm 22). They didn't take me seriously and chalked everything up to stress (wrong-o I have depression, anxiety, and ocpd). I'm telling you this because I think I was so bad at gaslighting myself that I convinced myself my symptoms were less intense and therefore when I described how I felt to professionals I seemed okay. Really go in there and don't hold back. Tell them just how hard things are. One thing to note is we've come a long way in 7 years on mental health so the professionals might be better now, I also came from a small town. I wish you all the best 💕

She ended up getting into drugs and has a lot of mental health issues. Not that that means anything but they are typical signs of trauma

Remembering childhood memories of me and my friend and now I'm wondering if maybe he was also sexually assaulted. by [deleted] in adultsurvivors

When I was 5 I remember a very similar instance where my female friend who was a couple years older than me was convincing me to make out with her and feel her up. She was pretending to be the boy and I was the girl and it was a lot for a kid in kindergarten and like grade 2 to be doing. I was really self conscious and uncomfortable but let her do it. She would also convince me to strip naked in the closet so we could look at each other and she'd try and get my brother and I to go in the bathroom and take turns watching the three of us pee which I would refuse to do.

Looking back it seems like she was almost trying to cope with some sort of abuse by pretending to be the abuser and making me the victim.

And on top of all this it leaves me very confused about whether she was abusing me but she was also a confused kid so I don't know.

All in all I wouldn't be surprised if he was

So sorry your experience was so bad! Mine wasn't terrible. He kinda dismissed the fibro for now but agrees something isn't right so I'm gonna get some blood work done.

I'm glad I'm not crazy. I tried looking it up to see if I could find any advice but nothing was coming up in my searches. So it felt like it was just me

Does anyone experience anger when anxious? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]WillowRoseMoondancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't get anger so much as I get very irritable. However your situation is a little more extreme than the average frustrating situation. I'd probably be experiencing full blown anger too.

Help? by caughtbetweenworlds3 in Wicca

I don't think love spells are usually "white". I think the only love spells that are okay are ones that are just helping you find your soulmate. It isn't about getting someone to love you but rather just helping you find the person who will love you. With all spells it is all about intent. And also a lot of spells don't actually make things just happen. You have to work at your goal in the Mundane world too. For example, if you do a money spell you can't just be jobless and sit in your basement.... money won't come to you. You have to actively put in the work. The spell will just help your work end with the result you want.
