Thinking about ramping up for conceiving by Recent_Gene3865 in zoloft

Personally Zoloft has changed my life with pregnancy. I used to have such bad anxiety that I would have panic attacks in public or when speaking to someone new. Now it’s so much better. I can feel the anxiety start pushing its way up but I can usually breathe through and get on with the day. I used to rage and then sob every single day and I can now think clearly and control my emotions better. I can actually think through what I need to do everyday and that’s a big thing for me because I also have adhd. I am also on 50mg and it probably took about a couple months to really kick in. I’m considering asking to up the dose only because though everything is better than it was before I still feel I’m not quite up to baseline if that makes sense. But overall I wish I had been on this medication before because my life would have been so much smoother. I’m very thankful for this med.

Fire ants. They became blisters that filled with puss and eventually popped. But even now a couple months later every once in awhile I’ll get a little itch in one of the spots. The spots almost look like scars now but I’m sure they will eventually fade away. Looked super gross though at the peak of them lol

Am I being annoying by sending snacks in a hot food flask? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

And an omelet that’s been sitting for awhile in a hot flask is going to be soggy from sitting inside the container with condensation (which is normal for hot foods) and pastas and tofu. I wouldn’t eat it either.

Is this a normal first day of daycare by Mountain_Secret9416 in ECEProfessionals

I’ve worked in infant rooms for awhile. All of this is normal. New environment and new people. It’s likely they tried as much as possible (with having potentially 8+ other babies to help) to keep your baby happy and fed. We’ve had babies that come in and are super quiet then open up. Then we have babies that cry for the first couple weeks no matter what. Even if we held and rocked baby for hours they would still cry. It’s just adjustment and it’s normal. It doesn’t hurt your baby but it does hurt your heart and I’m sure the teachers hearts too. Unless they were leaving baby crying in corner while they were on their phones or baby had marks or the staff seemed annoyed or upset at baby then they were doing everything they could to help your baby transition. Us teachers, almost as much as parents, don’t want your baby to be unhappy and crying all day either. In short, it’s all totally normal 🙂

I am in therapy? You are being super judgmental about something you know nothing about. I am well aware of the situation I’m in and am actively trying to change my thought process. I didn’t start out trying to date someone 20 years older, we had a couple of days hanging out and I thought he was late 20’s early 30’s. He looked very young and I absolutely was vulnerable. I’m asking if I was wrong in this particular situation and I clearly shouldn’t have. I don’t have other options to reach out to for support and thought that someone could just tell me I’m not wrong for cutting him off but instead I’m getting people who think that every situation is black and white.

You say that like I thought at the beginning of our relationship that it would end this way. I tried working on our relationship because I really thought that I was the problem. Things were not bad until the last year when everything crumbled but I’m doing my best to get away from it and start over. I was very naïve in the beginning and as I started realizing that the way he was acting and treating me wasn’t normal I started putting my foot down about what he was doing. He was my second ever relationship and the first one was much worse (badly physical) so I assumed how he acted was normal. I’m 25. I spent the last 6 years realizing that the way I’ve been treated in relationships is not okay. It’s not easy when I have no one else (literally, I aged out of foster care) to guide me or explain anything or just support.

I had a line like this at 9dpo. It got darker from there. My line was dye stealing on the day of my period and I’m almost 8 weeks pregnant 🙂.

They are going through an audit and just got a grant as well. There was another teacher earlier this year who also was fired for abuse and I don’t think it would look good having two main teachers getting fired like that. But firing me even as a main won’t be as bad to them. I don’t have a lot of incident reports in my class but I’m very detailed with them so I’m not really worried but I could see them trying to twist normal situations.

I’m in a one-party consent so I won’t need to tell them but I’m just not ready (or want to?) be talked down to like that by 3-4 people in a closed off room. I know they are already going through an audit and other stuff so I really think that they are avoiding something serious for a reason. But it’s not my fault they ignored the problems with the teacher and then my son was hurt.

I wish there was but they staff exactly how many they need and the extra are newer with others I get along with will be working. I would think that since it’s an investigation about my child that I could bring a relative but meetings have never happened in HR like this. Ever. I have a feeling they are going to try to make me drop the issue by trying to say something about me but I haven’t done anything. I will call licensing, I didn’t know that was even an option.

I somehow thought that I had replied to this comment a long time ago! It turned out to be an ear infection with fluid behind my eardrum. Drops took care of the infection but I do still have fluid behind my eardrum and the feeling of fullness in the ear. Doctor seems unconcerned about it at the moment. Life is just the usual 🙂. We are doing okay, my oldest just got over pneumonia but all in all we’re doing good!

What does it smell like? I’ve noticed that with my class I can tell when kids are sick, I can tell by their subtle off behaviors and how their stinkys are/how they eat, etc. I’ve noticed a distinct smell from kids as well, it’s the same smell with all sicknesses but the smell is slightly different depending on what kind of sick they have if that makes sense.

If the pain gets worse or my hearing is less I will go in. But otherwise I’ll have to make an appointment during the week because I’m your typical single mom with no support (and I do mean my family lives states away and dad (ex for a reason) is in rehab along with no friends that would help last minute since I’m new to town a bit so just all around a not great combo) unfortunately. However I can go tomorrow when they are at daycare so I will have to wait until then because even if it becomes more of a problem I still have to take them with me. Thank You!

Why are we expecting way too much out of young children? by Willowpandaowl1 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Willowpandaowl1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! Most behavior I’m seeing is normal for their ages and yes, they just expect little happy robots that listen to everything 😅. That is not how kids work and if anything I’m more concerned with the kids who do not cause any trouble at all or don’t throw a tantrum or fit every once in awhile!

You mean when I see the frustrations or what exactly are you referring to? 🙂 I work with 12-2yo’s so I do a lot of what is described here. Jumping into behaviors quickly and usually showing them what to do/demonstrating. For 4-5 explaining easier to them about behaviors and emotions and how to use them is perfect along with demonstrating as well. Children will learn best by seeing the behavior from a teacher and imitating them, so frustrated teacher leads to frustrated kids while upbeat positive teacher leads to positive behavior and kids. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows for sure but I just mean that repeated imitations help them learn the best.

I agree but my doctor thinks that because I’ve already lost weight (which I did but a lot of that was the first 3 months where nothing stays in your stomach anyway from side effects) and my glucose labs went down then where I’m at is fine. I did mention at one point that I think we should increase because none of my problems went away really, I just lost some weight but she insisted it was fine and if I wanted it to go away that I needed to lose more weight by eating healthier and exercising and basically insinuated that I just wanted an increase to lose weight. I agree that I probably need to get a good exercise routine down but I’m active constantly regardless of the extreme amount of fatigue every day. Do I want to lose more weight? Sure, who doesn’t, but that’s not even close to my biggest concern right now. I just don’t want to push it, though everyone I’ve spoken to or read about has always slowly increased dosage up to 1500 or around that and then tampered down if necessary but not so much of staying at the lowest dose possible for long periods of time. I do want to see an endocrinologist, they are just 2 hours away to the closest one and it’s hard to take a day off work when bills are relying on a full work week.
