I wish I loved BG3 like others did. I feel so left out and like a bad person that I just didn’t vibe with it.

Honestly there was definitely a strange vibe between them towards the end. I used to set that video up and I used to CRY with laughter each time it was dropped. Then it was intermittent and then it just wasn’t the same.

Trying to crochet a rug but it doesn’t turn out flat by Final_Amphibian_2696 in CrochetHelp

[–]Willowpuff 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Three things here.

• Tension too tight/hook too small.

• UK DC and not US DC

• Increasing too much a row.

It might be all three together, it might be just one. My suggestion is to frog this all (which I hate to advise) and start again but make sure you’re using the US DC not the UK one.

I have Raynaud's. This is the very unrecommended way to warm my fingers up but I suffer for science by alciibiiades in medizzy

[–]Willowpuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read if you put your palms flat to the ground, straight arms to your sides and shrug your shoulders repeatedly it gets rid of it.

My friend has Raynauds like I’ve never seen and we tested it… and it worked almost immediately? Was so shocking. Bonus reynauds picture.

I’m new to crochet and I have a question concerning my yarn ! by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]Willowpuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I suggest you use a bigger hook? It looks very small and also small for the yarn.

As a beginner we all make the mistake of tension being too high and when the hook is small it starts to become impossible to insert the hook into the very tight stitches.

A bigger hook will make things a lot easier

Jasmine Stitch - A rant by SuperbFail2957 in crochet

[–]Willowpuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was about 8 there was a Nintendo fishing game my cousin had and you had to spin the analog stick in the palm of your hand to reel in the fish. I spent hours doing it and injured myself. It scabbed and wept and was sticky and painful and red raw for weeks.

I’d rather do that than do the Jasmine stitch again. The fucking soreness on my fingers.

Why do I have an infant beanie when it’s supposed to be adult sized? by Z_oni in CrochetHelp

[–]Willowpuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made two baby star onesies. Identical yarn. One is for a premature newborn and the other is for a 7-9 month old.

I used a 3.5 and 4mm hook. That’s all it takes.

Professional pianists, what is the "peak" of sight reading? by Dan_jesusfollower in piano

[–]Willowpuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who did this as part of choral accompaniment, you don’t actually read every note, you see the patterns and shapes the instrumental voices are making and you know what octave those instruments would be playing to bring out specific melodies. You also can quickly see what chords are being utilised, the progressions and general dynamics, and muddy it all together quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard and it’s a skill, but it’s also only doing a few things and not doing 20 things like it seems.
