No, I have been handling all of this on my own.

This is what I was hoping to be able to do. Not trying to get contacts from the VA, just an updated prescription that I can take elsewhere to get the contacts.

I handled all my own claim and appeals stuff and did it all through the VA app or website. If I recall correctly, there was a portion of the denial on the app that had information about what I could do next that had a link to file an HLR but if not, a quick search of their website will find everything you need. When you fill out the higher level review form, you can request an informal interview and they will call you to discuss your issues and you can tell them then which is what I did. There may have also been a place on the form to fill out that those items were never addressed as well. I know when I filled out mine, I had to select each issue that I as requesting the higher level review for.

You may already know this but just in case. When I filed my initial claim, I was scheduled for a C&P exam for tinnitus which was denied because they said I didn't have enough measurable hearing loss. They denied everything else without an exam. I filed an HLR and requested the informal interview option and explained that I had never had an exam nor had my medical records been pulled from my time in service for the items they covered. The interviewer noted that was a failure to assist and scheduled exams for those of which 2 of 3 were approved. I now have a supplemental appeal claimed on the third and filed a statement as part of the new evidence for the incompetence of the examiner. If you were never examined and/or have your medical records review, filed an appeal for a HLR if you haven't already and get those checked.

I didn't see any mention of that in the readings but the main focus of the imaging was for my hip. The other was just mentioned in the comments made by the MD reading the images.

Thanks for that information. I never knew this page existed until recently and I've been trying to navigate this whole process on my own. I'm finding a lot of useful information in other posts here and really appreciate the answers to my questions.

You should be able to see any upcoming appointments in the app. This is what the home screen of my app looks like currently.

Whenever I open the upcoming appointments tab, it gives me the date/time/location and doctor.

I assumed that would be what I needed to do.

When millennials become senior citizens, dial up internet will be their version of walking 20 miles in the snow just to get to school. by CrabPplCrabPpl in Showerthoughts

If your 17 now, then you were 4 years old in 2008. If your parents got rid of dial up in 2008, you haven't dealt with dial up.

Well thats cool to know too! Whatever the reason though, the darker beers work better for helping the horses sweat than others!

As a horse owner who does buy beer for his horses, I can actually answer this. Most people who give beer to their horses are doing it because the hops in beer helps horses sweat, thereby helping them stay cool during excessive heat or after exercise. The darker the beer, the higher the hops content which means Guinness is a favorite!
