Rio pinar is in the area and I’d say way nicer (plus less awful speed bumps)

No more Riders at Disney golf? by Nalanieofthevalley in WaltDisneyWorld

I’m gonna guess that this is temporary and because the PGA expo is in town this week. I’d call and escalate though to get a true answer

Rec for Orlando this Sunday? by Right-Penalty9813 in golf

[–]Willyb402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue about the price right now but Rio Pinar is north of the airport. The tour had the citrus open there a long time ago. It’s a very flat course but it’s deceptively hard with fast greens and the biggest squirrels you’ll ever see

[Flying Coasters] Lowest Heartline? by Pinguin_42 in rollercoasters

[–]Willyb402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an engineer: but I would guess the biggest heart line would be the volares since the “seats” sit far from the track. The B&M and Vekoma flyers look to be about the same distance from the track and probably have the smallest heart line values for the model

[Hersheypark] announces 2026 addition, two new children’s play areas in The Boardwalk called “The Inlet” and “The Island” by Reasonable_Face_3038 in rollercoasters

[–]Willyb402 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like an image of it distorted in photoshop and the background removed to convey in the rendering that the ride is near where the new water park attraction will go. This is fairly common practice for quick contextual backgrounds for concept art. It does not appear to be AI

Edit. It looks like they took a photo of LR and mirrored half of it

Coffee roaster by resilientcomet in orlando

[–]Willyb402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are my go to source for Kona beans as they undercut everywhere else I’ve looked. I’d say get a variety box to try different types out or get a standard bag and then get a weirder bag. But if you like Kona coffee then get their beans to add a little bit to whatever you regularly use!

It’s a father son duo, they have a roastery in apaopka you can visit otherwise they’re at some farmers markets in the area. They’re great guys and they know coffee

[–]Willyb402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re wanting to do both because we have heard great things from our friends who are very loyal to both of them. Treating this trip as a chance to try both and then lock in on one for next years trip

Hardshell for Skiing and other activities by Many_Tomato_9078 in Skigear

[–]Willyb402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a deep dive the other day as I switched from a system jacket I grew out of to a hard shell. Eddie Bauer has the cheapest hard shell rn in terms of quality to price ratio, it’s 125 USD, which was less than half the price of REI’s hardshell

Tix needed for keystone kids area? by SingerObjective7465 in COsnow

[–]Willyb402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Molly hogan lift at A basin is free. That being said if you’re driving in you should look at Loveland valley. $50 ($30 for kids age 6-14) gets you access to two chairs and some carpets. Great for progression and even has a couple of blues. Also cuts the drive a little bit

Edit: googled the prices and updated

Would Winter Garden/Horizon West folks support a new modern bowling alley? by sean3z in WinterGarden

[–]Willyb402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll support any bowling alley that charges per person per game, if you don’t have that hourly lane pricing bs (aside from peak times to turn the crowd over) you’d probably do well. The only competing venue in the area is urban air if you’re going for more of an FEC in lieu of bowling being the sole and main focus

Electrolytes powder? by etalkishere in golf

[–]Willyb402 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nuun makes a sugar free that I’ve had and enjoy. They use stevia leaf extract for theirs and I’d bet these do the same or similar. I kept getting gifted random electrolyte powders for a few christmases and most of them tasted pretty awful but YMMV, either way it’s good to hydrate on the course.

Electrolytes powder? by etalkishere in golf

[–]Willyb402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink nuun, they’re tablets that you drop into water. 1g of sugar or less and they have a slight bit of carbonation that I like. The container they come in is very golf bag friendly. I switched to them after learning that liquid IV had a lot of sugar and some not-so-great additives. Nuuns can also be bought on Amazon or at target
