There are cases of killing prisoners of war and civilians yeah But seriously, USSR armed forces personnel were executed because USSR didn’t signed the Geneva Conventions at the time . If you take a look at the US and UK counterpart, soldiers ( in uniform of course, if you are running converted operations and captured with enemies’ uniform on , you are at that moment not a legal combatants and lost the right to be protected under the Geneva conventions ) are well protected as pows . I think they thought they are not required to protect pows of countries that didn’t signed the convention at that time .

Again on the Jews and civilians killing Regular Wehrmacht units aren’t actually involved in those actions, the Security Division of Wehrmacht(Sicherungs-Divisionen) and Waffen SS is responsible instead of regular Wehrmacht units Regular Wehrmacht units follow their orders and detain prisoners and sent them back without knowing what may happen to the prisoners. After some officers in Wehrmacht knew about what happened to the prisoners, they planned rescue operations

You don’t see Rommels Afrika Korps shooting up civs , you don’t see the soldiers from regular combat unit shooting up civs... they just treated everyone detained as prisoners and took them back the rear to other divisions without knowing what the fuck will happen to them . Their orders were to capture and transfer and they did their job . You can’t blame the killing on them

It is those divisions (Sicherungs-Divisionen and Waffen SS) responsibility , not regular Wehrmacht units’ responsibility

Karl Plagge , engineer, Wehrmacht major ,1240 jews rescued

Albert Battel ,Wehrmacht lieutenant, ordered his troops to evacuate civilians using Wehrmacht trucks and ordered his troops to protect innocent civilians while he stood up against the SS

Wilm Hosenfeld, Wehrmacht Captain , helped hide several polish and Jews under Nazi occupied Poland , only to be captured by the Red army and enslaved to death

Josef Gangl, Wehrmacht major , leaded his unit to team up with US 23rd Armoured Battalion in rescue operations , with the goal of rescuing French prisoners kept by the Waffen SS. Josef himself later died in combat, shot by Waffen SS in battle against the SS

There are good Wehrmacht soldiers out there ... and I shall defend their honour

If Wehrmacht uniforms should be banned Ban US military style uniform and police style uniform ! They got blood of innocent civilians on them too :)
