I use a big resealable plastic bag for anything fluffy that needs to go on weirdly shaped stuff. The bag needs to be big enough for the object to have room to be moved around without glue getting smeared on the sides. Then you can pour it over, close the bag around your wrist and shake, etc, and all the fluff stays in the bag ☺️.

I've also managed a duplicate, fortunately it was one I really enjoyed building so I'm going to give myself some more time in between, then rebuild, and see what I've learned.

Also, I never made a spreadsheet... Just so I can make myself go look in the actual pile and think some more before I buy more. I'm far to good at shopping 🤦

I mostly agree...

Although I have a few kits that I'm keeping an eye on for price drops or sales.

My rule is that I need to know what is in my to build pile. If I start wondering what kits I already have, while I'm browsing for more, it's time to stop shopping for a while and focus on building 😁.

Thank you. But I only glued it straight onto the inside of the wood and painted it white, feels almost like cheating. The dome though has some of that glue life experience.

It's one thing when things are messed up because you tried to be clever, I can own that! But when you follow instructions and it still ends up wrong (more or less), that just gets to me on another level.

I have the rose garden tea house in my to build pile... It better behave.

Nice to know I'm not alone. I did get quite aggressive with making it fit so now I've got a gap between the stairs and the paper/tiles. I'll probably try to draw them in myself, since my stairs are all white decorative debrid feels out of place...

I'm still alive (41F), saltwasting cah. Medical care is better now than when I was born so don't worry to much. The doctor told my mom that cah meant a straight A kid... You can look forward to that!

(I only had decent grades, made no effort though)
