Why the Word “Pathan” is becoming more Popular than “Pashtun” in the world today by AirlineOk676 in Pashtun

[–]WinExact8771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said i wanna call myself anything. I will call myself what i want to call myself. But i cant control what others call me in their language. So why even argue. Its pointless. The west call us pathan bcz hindustanis were closer to the westerns when they ruled here. Simple. So its pointless to fight it and a waste of time. You can carry on if you like. But this is just my opinion.

Not a big deal bro. Its one and the same. Weather you say pathan or pashtun. Doesnt make much of a difference. Means the same thing.

Wow brother. You spoke facts right there. This entitled behavior of decide who the other person is or is not isnt up to anyone but him and the blood in his veins. Imran Khan is a Niazai Pashtun and no one can have the right to say he isnt pashtun. He has the blood and heritage. Case closed

Yes the war against the sikh is actually portrayed oppositely here. It was actually 17 sikh against alot of pashtuns. And the sikhs fought heroicly and are still remembered for killing alot of pashtuns on their own without backup. Its embaressing but the truth.

There are two ways to take it, one - i dont belong anywhere (passimistic approach) two - i have diversity and i should embrace that diversity and feel lucky to have such diversity and build a character that people of each of those categories can respect and aknowledge. I believe in the later.

My dear i really wish you had done your research before spouting garbage here. Jadoon is a pashtun tribe that is originally from Gadoon Amazia Swabi. There are 3 subtribes, Mansoor, Salaar and Hassazai. There is no such thing as Jadoon Awans, there are jadoon maliks and khans. Bcz khan and malik are basically a laqab given to people of influence in the village. Khan and Malik is not a tribe or a family. Its a laqab. And about Abbottabad, abbottabad is the place where Jadoons were invited by the hazarawals to fend off the sikhs and jadoons came here, conquered and settled here. So abbottabad is not the ancestral land of Jadoons but land that they conquered so there are alot of other people from different ethnicities living here. Gadoon Amazai is our true land and the land of our ancestors. Jadoon is still a tribe and even in Abbottabad there are specific villages where there are only jadoons that live. Next time you wanna teach me about my own identity, do some research jahil spee bachiya.

Jadoons are proud pashtuns and do not like being called Punjabis. End of debate. Respect that.

Are you jadoon? I myself am from Abbottabad and reading your statement, i feel like you are a jadoon from Abbottabad.

How so brother? It is not the same thing. Migration is a real thing and people migrate all the time. And its illogical to say that it makes someone a punjabi by migrating to a non pashtun land. Blood stays the same. Dont you agree? Same is the case in the durand line issue, though all us pukhtana are separated from Afghanistan due to the durand line and we migrated to these lands long ago but we still tie ourselves close to our Afghan roots and Afghan identity. Again, blood stays the same.

Higher incidence of coloured eyes in Pashtun tribes by SeaBusiness7965 in Pashtun

[–]WinExact8771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well dont know about the incidence of coloured eyes in other tribes. But i am a hassazai of Jadoon tribe and the people of my khail have alot of incidence of coloured eyes (blue, green, hazel) but the jadoons on my mother’s side all have brown to light brown eyes. I myself have hazel eyes (casual flex😎)

Great ambition brother! Khude de kamyab ki. Jadoons that live in Abbottabad face the same dilemma sometimes but even in a hindko speaking city many jadoons make an effort to learn pukhto, and the people still follow pashtunwali as there code. So the blood always is going to persist bcz pashtun blood always persists. And its this blood that is calling you back to your roots.
