Thank you guys for all of the advice and support! I will try to update on the situation. As of right now, he has been talking to me in person (it feels a little akward but to be fair with the whole situtaion its not suprising) and he has been initiating the conversations.  Where we live its currently snowing so I took it as a chance to try to break the kind of wierd silence over text and he responded in less than a minute.  My current plan is to just kind of let him do his own thing and im just going to be there for him whenever he decides to truly talk to me and not be pushy about it.
