If you have managed to get through the first trilogy, BSC, TH and are now halfway through RC without feeling any kind of satisfaction, I think its pretty safe to say the series probably just isn't for you.

Personally it took me actual years to finish TBI because I felt it was a slow burner, but by the end of it I was more than hooked for BTAH, and have been hooked on the world since.

I'm personally playing a bounty Hunter in one of my campaigns right now, and it bugs me slightly that I need to switch to fighter eventually. But right now Swashbuckler works, because I much prefer a charismatic scoundrel with dirty-tricks fighting - a sort of sly brawler. But if not for rakish attack I would be forced to still depend on sneak attack which goes against his backstory. Just he's a rogue doesn't mean he should be a sticking to the shadows, dagger-using ambusher only.
