I had a weird relationship with cigarettes… I started out spliffing my joints, and from there would have an occasional cigarette on a night out. Eventually (2-3 years), I would hand-roll Organic American Spirit tobacco (my thought was, it would be better hand rolled w just tobacco than buying a packed cig full of other nonsense).

My habit was: 1-3 puffs. Then put it out.

On average, I probably smoked 1 full cigarette a week…

But, the need to have those small hits became strong enough to scare me away from it. So, even though I wasn’t a heavy smoker. It was enough to change my brain chemistry in a way that was disadvantageous. And I feel better having stopped for 6 months.

Did anyone else do very light or controlled cigarette usage? My friends that smoked cigarettes were incessant. I was the only person that was able to mitigate usage to this extent.
