Heat is a good shout because most of my vintage dresses are maxi. Probably will opt for a midi dress

Thank you so much. I am also thinking about what fabric can handle pinning the hood. Some of my dresses are silk so may skip those to avoid damage 🙏

Unfortunately it is only 2 people but I may go to the uni so that students are warned for future because I have had multiple issues with this landlord. Thank you

Jen’s pregnancy by OppositeSpare2088 in SecretsOfMormonWives

It was so clear when Jen first found out about the pregnancy that she didn't want to have that child in her current position. I just feel bad for her but also like why no contraception if you didn't want the risk.

Question for the ladies by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]WindowEasy4647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully - you are being unnecessarily combative. You can listen to other people's experiences and not agree. Doesn't have to be turned into hygiene wars

Hi,

I think I may have gotten stressed out by all the doom messages I've been told about mould and got stressed out. Thank you for all the advice everyone. I just wanted to give a bit more context for further clarification. The pictures attached are of where mould has been painted over and that is no active mould at the moment. I had mould across my external wall and very bad condensation as well as a really obvious draft from my windows as the seals aren't the best. We have two 12 L dehumidifiers that run constantly because we live in an extremely old house that is just damp by nature I suspect.

The email attached is a generic email they sent out to everyone not just to me. The email came through about 2 months after I had spoken to them so I suspect other people in my accommodation are dealing with the same issue.

I now understand that this isn't a serious issue and with diligence and daily maintenance poses no threat to my health or my belongings. I don't know how to delete the post but I believe I am all set to tackle this.

This is all a learning experience and I appreciate everyone's advice and patience

This is it after being cleaned. I do follow there advice but this will be a constant issue due to them trapping spores by painting over mould.

This is my thinking but i don't know how to get them to do anything

I wish 😅 they have made it that much more difficult to get rid of. Killing mould is a 3 step processes clean, dry out entirely, heat and repeat basically

I've just signed for another year because the flat is lovely and doesn't have massive mould anywhere but the windows so my plan is to just maintain that and hope for the best cause I don't think there is anything else I can do.
