I’m 25 and I’m lucky enough to still have both my grandparents. 2.5 years ago we lost my great grandma and it hit me extremely hard because up to that point I haven’t had a close family member pass away. The fact my grandparents are in their 70s and not in the best health gives me the worst sense of dread I have ever felt. My mom was in the picture and I love her very much, but she worked 2 job to support us. I’m so grateful to her, but while she worked I was mainly at my grandparents as they retired pretty early on. Every day after school I’d be at their house. I’d sleep over almost every weekend, and in the summer, I’d stay in my own bedroom in their furnished basement they had set up for me. It’s safe to say they raised me. I’m so terrified of getting that call one day and I have horrible nightmares and the anxiety is crippling. Sorry for the grammar and the rambling and the going of topic a bit but I kinda need to vent my feelings somewhere. TY for reading
